Sudbury Wolves 2024-25 Season Thread, Part III

A few observations and opinions:
- IF the Bowen trade is true as mentioned the only 07' D Man is Jackson. This trade does make sense though as he would be the replacement to Chucky next year
- Getting Musty back IS NOT like landing a big player in a trade. Sure he will put up some points, BUT the player coming back is a selfish player whos trade request we did not honour, who doesn't want to be here and, who cant wait to get to the AHL. He will not play with the intensity or heart needed for the playoffs.
- I also would not be touching Blonda.
- It's crazy to think that a team that has Street in the lineup is actually looking to be buyers.

With all the rumours flying around regarding the Wolves have turned into a real puzzle. Putting all the critically important pieces together will require input from coaches and owner. Hopefully this is possible and not just in the hands of one person. I feel we are 1 D 1 top 6 forward and another goalie away from being a real threat in the east.

More like 2 D 2 F and another G. If Roberts, Bowmen and Mews are coming then we still need two forwards. Foster and McCue or another import would work. Saginaw has a San Jose draft pick who hasn't played a game yet. Maybe he and Musty make up a line with Foster. Would make a solid second line. We need forward depth we just don't have enough IMO. So will be interesting to see what is left after a Mews deal to get other pieces up front.

I think if Blonda is in the deal, Boyd would add someone like Foster or Dever depending on what works. But, I don’t think a picks based deal works for Mews AND a player like Foster. That would be tough to pull off.

If you were to use Blonda on Mews, you pretty much keep the picks. Gives you more ammunition to nail down more prey…. You get the ‘09 next year when you move Mews. It is pretty much a wash. Mews for almost free.

WTF do you want? A 7th and 8th pick. obviously you haven’t been paying much attention, it’s a sellers market and if true the kid will play his OA year in the O
