No its my opinion. If he is traded at the right time Papineau will get a huge return. Depends what he values most players or players and picks. Oshawa and London are probably going to go hard after him. That’s also an opinion.

Vondras with the start vs Oke
Villeneuve is in.
Coughlan in

McCoy out
Delic out
Musty out
Chitaroni out

McCallum, Pharand and Giroux starting forwards
Van Vliet and Anania on D.
Ouch.

Pre-emptively going to say, I just hope they give a good effort. Win or lose this is a character-building game.

Yearwood getting a shot on the Dvorsky line with Musty out of the lineup does make me pretty happy. Yearwood has been played great hockey lately, nice to see him rewarded by getting to fill that spot.

Would have been nice for Vandenberg to be rewarded too after his performance in the Soo. Guess goalies don’t count. If he is sick then of coarse I can see it, but if he is on the bench then that decision is unfair.

McCoy in warm up! Hope he plays. This will be tough without Delic and Musty. This team just can’t stay healthy.

Goyette would be leading scorer if he didn't miss all these open net, unlucky.
No player on the wolves is better at putting themselves in a good position to score then Goyette. If he was a bit more of a natural goal scorer he's be challenging for the league lead in goals. Still having a heck of a season at 31G obviously.

Since when do they do the goal announcements in French at the Sudbury arena?

Broadcast just mentioned Giroux left and had to be helped to the dressing room. An already short bench just got shorter.

Just saw Giroux back on the ice, but looked to limp off again.

I thought that Pryce played really well, I’ve really liked the way he has been playing over the last couple of weeks! Great game tonight by the boys! Played their best complete game of the year! With a real short bench. On to the next one!

Go Wolves Go!!

Also if anyone knows how Giroux is doing and could let me know that would be great! :)

Wolves can clinch a spot as early as Monday.
With 2 wins (Sunday vs Kitchener and Monday vs Guelph) or 1 win and a Petes loss on Monday to Kitchener.
Also, 2 OTL’s or SOL’s or a combination of both will do it too with a Petes loss on Monday.

Full props to a undermanned team for playing as hard as they did for a full 60. First time I’ve seen them play for each other. Great hustle, forecheck, defensive play. Great morale victory!

I only saw the 3rd but was particularly pleased that as 'a team' they shut them down so well in the last 10 minutes. Most 'mature' approach to the game I have seen in the third. Bodes well.

I saw a team who were genuinely happy for each other and a lot of unselfishness. A willingness to block shots, discipline ed hockey and decent defensive play. Great leadership by Goyette and Dvorsky and our senior D, but you can see the evolution of a star right before our eyes. Villy showing his skill and complete 200ft game while developing his leadership. This will be his team very soon. Captian Villy. Also, can’t help but give shoutouts to Yearwood and Coughlan who both enhance team play by accepting and playing their roles very well.
Lastly, great job coaches. You’ve taken a beating on this board but it appears you’ve pulled these kids together and improved our Dplay and PP.
Next up, consistent goaltending. I have faith.

Totally agree. Lots of excellent team play and enthusiasm in the barn! The refs did let a lot go tonight, even behind the play, which was great to see.

One question unrelated to this specific game; are there any "adult" nights at the arena anymore? It seems all the Friday night games I've been able to attend are very much Saturday morning Nickelodeon events. It used to be that Fridays were a bit different in the past and matinees were for the kids. Just wondering.

obviously you don't have kids. :) Love seeing the kids at games, I never had any issues with kids at games, the ones around me always behaved.

I actually have lots of kids. I would be concerned with the number of 'adults' that are abusing the refreshments if I had young children. Some real beauties.
