Right I’m listing every player on the roster both present and future as well as comparing it with all the other teams. Yeah right pops. I’m in the same boat as you.
i’m not sure why you insist on posting on our board I don’t think you’re particularly welcome.
Sorry, didn't realize talk about the Wolves present and future was forbidden here?

Let's count together:
07 - Chitaroni
06 - Villeneuve
06 - Walton
05 - Musty
05 - Krawchuk
05 - Coughlan
05 - Dvorsky (maybe?)
05 - Mania
05 - Pharand

Doesn't matter whether it's Mauro, Pryce or whoever. They are roster players today that will need to be replaced. 11-12 players is a lot of OHL level players to find in an off season. There is rebuilding, and then there is REBUILDING.

Those will be great to replenish some picks, but rarely do they return roster players. Wolves will need roster players for training camp.
Though they may not be good team if Musty is among the many graduates, I don’t think the wolves will have an issue filling the roster. Add a full line and goalie of 2006-07 born to your list, 2-imports. There is the fact that the wolves have a full compliment of 2-4 picks through (edit: 2026) before acquiring picks for excess OAs

I did not miss Jackson as he is not on the roster. I counted a roster spot for Chitaroni because he is currently on the roster, but feel free to swap his roster spot out for which ever affiliate you like.

Some of your affiliates (all?) will be on the roster next year. Even with them all, plus hitting on an import pick, plus rostering 4x 08's, you will need to find a few more OHLers. Somewhere. Hopefully some of the mid- to late- round picks from 2023 turn into OHLers.
IC. He's currently on the official roster. I hadn't checked the official roster. I was basing my opinion on how much I've seen the two players. Chitaroni has been used much like an AP, with 5 games exactly like Jackson. Chitaroni played in SSM last night so you're correct he's currently on the roster. I would still categorize them in the same group but according to the current roster you are 100% correct.

Your observation is valid. There are a lot of graduating players on the team. I think most fans are comfortable with this. Management must be as well. Fair comment though. Just not anything to worry about. Like you said earlier, nothing that can be done now.

Villeneuve 10 goals in his last 12 games. Wow. That line of Delic Villeneuve Goyette will be hard to shut down come playoffs. Playoffs will tell the tale for this team. Would be a crazy story if Krawchuk is called upon come playoffs and runs with it. All this negative crap with the goalies get over it. It is what it is now. Has it been frustrating? Absolutely. Inconsistent all round. Bottom line Wolves have three options in net. Vondras, Vandenberg or Krawchuk. It's hard not to vent sometimes but this is the goalie hand Papineau dealt this team in a go for it year. Need to think positive going into the playoffs. Pressure is on the Wolves. A choke job will be unacceptable. It's all about the playoffs and going deep. No excuses. Go Wolves Go

2 wrongs don't make a right
Actually, you’re a pretty smart guy. Tell me how you think you hammering on the fact that we have very little youth (almost gleefully) on this team added anything positive to our discussion that we really needed you to tell us?
I just don’t understand how you thought anyone would react to that. Did you think we‘d say hey thanks all knowing one for sharing your wisdom and enlightening us with facts we couldn’t possibly have deduced for ourselves?

I think balancing your rather less than flowery observations to also include some positive input and reflection would be more appreciated.

For example why not remind us in awe about all the 20+ goal scorers the Wolves will have this year. Consider adding that type of observation to your pipe.

So I looked into the 20+ goal thing…
I set the cut off at 13 goals at this point cause if you’re at 13 by now, odds are you’re probably not getting to 20. I included the 13’s though, everything below was cut off.
Sudbury - 10
London - 9
Oshawa - 8
Soo - 9
Saginaw - 8

For 30+
I set the cut off at 22 and included 22’s

London - 6
Oshawa - 2
Soo - 1
Sudbury - 3
Brantford - 4
North Bay - 4
Owen Sound - 4
Saginaw - 3

Make of that what you will. Just providing data

I think most of us are narrow focused at the moment. It’s about this season. We aren’t really looking past this year. There’s nothing wrong with that.

A reminder to be looking forward isn’t a bad thing. That’s the comment Pops brought forward and he’s not wrong. We have a lot of graduating players. Maybe more so than most contending teams do. Just because you don’t want to talk about next year doesn’t mean that we can’t talk about it.

Personally the team is in good shape. We have OA candidates we can trade. Our draft pick cupboard is in reasonable shape. So I don’t share the same concern Pops does. Yes we could have figured this out ourselves but like I said most of us are fixated with this year.

I just don’t get where he was so far off base with his observation. It’s either retool or rebuild after this season.

Seems a bit poetic when people are upset when posters talk about a teams future on HF Boards - Hockey Futures Board. It's literally what the discussion board is for.

It is early to talk of a re-tool for the wolves. As long as Musty returns and Delic & McCoy are among the OAs, the wolves are competing.
Musty-Delic
Walton-Villeneuve-Pharrand
could over power contenders’ top six

Musty will bring 3 good young players when traded to a contender. I think with all the talented 04’s we have the team will be ready to win it all again in 3 years.

I think, ultimately, this fan base has been suffering so long we'd all gladly take a 0-win season for the next three years for a good playoff run to the finals this year.

Hell, I'll go without a win for the next 10 for a trip to the memorial cup.

Wait so how many old players do you have? And you don't care about that???

Hahaha...just poking the bear...maybe we can get a senior discount on some pucks tonight with all of our combined old players when we make the trip up tonight...one of these days I'm going to make the trip up for this game and see the town.

Enjoy the SSM folks...they jumped in the Saginaw forum the last time we got rolled by London looking to add some fuel to the fire but it's just one game and we don't get all bothered when the team has an off night.

Should be a good one tonight...two good teams, I'll be watching it from Saginaw hoping we can have a good showing in Sudbury!

What precedence do you base Musty will return 3 good players?

We will ignore trades in a different league with different trading rules.

Meidema and a player still committed to college is no where near three good players.
