Interesting to see Gauvreau, 'the skills coach' behind the bench too...

Seeing on their site he is listed as an "Asst. Coach". So 3 Asst. Coaches... is that typical?
i wonder if he is being groomed to be the next head coach?

Due to some technical issu4e have not been able to post all year and i will try to keep this short.

the game should have been closed out and finished 7 2 or 7 3. no more goals were needed however this team is all offence all the time and cant help themselves. They have to know how to manage a game through. 3 shorthanded goals is unbelievable. two turnovers at the blueline by the last man. All year they have not learned that sometimes the safe basic play is the best play. I saw a few plays last night that lead me to question their hockey sense.

I was not impressed by Villenueve decision to fight. He had to have realized his team was down 2 top forwards and guys like him would be needed to play more and fill the void. He gets into a needless fight and has to sit 17 plus minutes of game time. I understand coughlan took a hard hit, however it was clean and sometimes you just have to take a number.

Vondras started great and made a few good saves while the game was close then man you could make a save sometime. Goaltending is an issue right now.

Few teams around the league that have 3. Possibly a HC on this team at some point . But to me right now he's more of a person RP can trust to give him feed back about players, questions around coaches, and team needs. Just an overall feel from his set of lense.

Pieces need to be added soon. Wolves require a QB on the PP. They also need to secure a player that round out a second scoring line. Then depth pieces. Some toughness on both ends and possibly a goalie incase Vondras doesn't rebound. Clock is ticking lots of work needs to get done before some players leave for WJC. One thing is for sure all that work can't get done in a couple of days leading to the deadline without over paying or even missing out on the player you were focused on.

I doubt there will be many trades involving the big names prior to players leaving for the World Juniors. There is usually few of these trades made in December prior to the holidays break. They usually are made starting until the trade deadline after the break. Last season there were a number of deals made in mid November into December but that was an exception to the rule.

Peterborough usually has around 3-4 assistant coaches, as well as two video coaches too. Two assistants on the bench and then two upstairs.

For sure I don’t anticipate the big fish such as Beck or Mayer until days prior to the deadline. Melee or Smith would be a good pre Christmas deal for a team. I guess we will see.

I doubt the Petes will trade away any players until after the holiday break. What do you think Sudbury will offer for either player?

Big game this afternoon against a good Missy team. Will the Wolves lay another stinker or actually show up?

Very inconsistent Wolves team with weak goaltending lately so flip of a coin with what to expect this afternoon.

Still no Delic or Anania as both still out. Vondras with the start today (REALLY needs to figure things out and get his game in order).

On the bright side our top guns are 🔥🔥🔥
Wolves top line in their last five games:
Goyette: 5G, 8A
Dvorsky: 6G, 7A
Musty: 8G, 6A

Why is Vondras getting the start after Friday? His last 4 games, SV of .739. .739, .667, .875. Only cracked .900 twice since October 20th. Krawchuk has not been great either but I'd argue he's been playing better.

Hopefully it works out, and if it does not they swap before 6-7 goals.

Finally last game the Wolves worked the PP lower in the zone with great success. Where they got into trouble with 3 SHG was when they tried to move the puck high inside the blue line under pressure with no support. Let’s see if any lessons were learned for today’s game….

Musty went for a nice little skake in his end. Which helped generate that second goal.

This game has the potential to get out of hand in sauga's favour.

These announcers not understanding that if you scored on a delayed penalty, while already on the PP. The new penalty is the one who goes to the box.

How do so many teams(Sudbury included) have announcers who have never watched hockey before.

Now these idiot announcers think that goalies are fair game if they're not in their crease. Holy what stupidity. What an absolute goon play by Martone.

"Maybe Martone jumped off his feet just a little to hit Vondras"

How is that not a five.... Guess the Wolves need to send McCallum to truck over Mississauga goalie.

I was coming here to say this. These announcers are such homers it isn't even funny.

Vondras shouldn't have come out but you cant flatten him like that.
