I certainly liked the look of villeneuve. Moves and looks different than a lot of guys. I thought for the most part our favourite whipping boys Macallan and Robinson looked better. Just one dumb penalty for McCallum and a almost a game costing turnover in OT by Robinson.
I know with suspensions penalties etc creates new game plans but those were some 8nteresting power play units out there.
Chomiak will take some time to settle in but you can see why he might have had trouble against men. Some fumbleitis with the puck.

Is it just me but does it seem to be an 8nordinate amount of pucks slipping off the end of sticks, overskating the puck and fanned passes. I noticed Friday as well. Both teams. Anyone else see it or am I just thinking theses guys are better than they are.

3 of 4 points for the weekend against good teams, we’ll take that!! Robinson was the best D for us today. Nice to see new bodies on PP today…Walton gets nice goal. We gotta a special group here and they are working hard for each other…I liked the line Combos to start the game. Chromiak is a big ad to an already good D Core!!

Nice win. Man does the Pete's d ever play physical especially 24. He sure hits guys hard. The game was really exciting. Interesting line combos today. Thought it was effective. Thought Musty struggled today. Continues to stay on too long but has improved in that area compared to last year. I liked Pharand and Assadourian. Thought they had jump and complimented each other well. Nice pp goal. Was disappointed when they broke that line up after the loss of Delic. Not a fan of the 2nd pp unit. I really liked the effort by everyone. I would like to see Toure get the green light to carry the puck more and attack the offensive zone despite the puck bouncing on his stuck today. Areas of improvement are first pass on defensive zone exits. It's a combination of forwards not being in the right spot and also the d waiting too long and then the opening is closed. Tracking players on the back check continues to need work. Wasn't as bad as it was against Barrie but still an issue that needs correcting. Key face offs in the def and offensive zone need work also. The linesman didn't help much tonight and I was getting frustrated with the disparity between the number of wolves been tossed out if the draw. Anyways was a great game. All in all took 3 points our of 4. Pretty solid.

When Toure and other D rush the puck, a responsible forward needs to cover off. A couple of 2 on 1s coming back up ice..defensive coverage must be emphasized. Growth in Defence will occur…

While I think a lot of the aspects of the wolves defensive player have not been great this year, I think they've been pretty good at covering for d-men pinching up. I've often seen Robinson or Anania spending half a shift behind the opposing next and looked back to see often Delic, Musty or Larmand covering the point.

Is it my glasses or is the 600,000 dollar clock not working. Replays out of focus and images jerky. On another note we need ushers, ridiculous how inconsiderate people are during a game coming and going during play.

Agreed! Great job covering D pinching down the wall in the OZ. High forwards are covering off…

I think it's your glasses...LOL. But totally agree on the Ushers...or at least some signage around the top of the stands to educate the general public in common courtesy. While it's nice people are stopped from the bottom while play is going, I honestly feel like I'm the only one in the arena who waits for a whistle from the top.

Way too many people moving around during the game... ushers don't stop anyone in my section from walking around the bottom. So inconsiderate people leaving their seat during the action. I don't understand it. I guess that's the old school in me. Would be nice to let the fans know some house keeping rules on that new scoreboard before the game starts and maybe another time over the course of the game for those who come late and there is lots of them too. Maybe that would be a start and some education on the duties for those young ushers who just get paid to watch the game it seems and eat the left over pizza at the end of the game.

Agree on the clock. Friday was bad, yesterday not as much. If I was Dario I would be ticked off and demanding answers and a fix.
I don't know how much ushers would help except at start of periods. I was on an aisle yesterday and up ad down a ton. Some these teens must have way more money than me because they are eating a lot. I also think many of the people have different reasons for going to the game. I would hazard a guess if you are this forum you are going to watch the game be on time and not leave early. For others it is a time out as entertainment and if they only see 55minutes or so and miss something it is no big deal and don't even realize they are impacting others.

Great win last night. Was so happy to see the young guys contribute when given the chance. Yesterday's game was so much better than seeing the fiasco on Friday when the usual suspects being on the ice for 3+ minutes in OT. That decision cost us the game. Such bad coaching. When things like this happens, a lot of resentment tends to build up, especially when you have so many good players on the bench that could contribute, but are not given the chance.

Yesterday's game was so much better. Giving the opportunity to the young guys, especially in OT was so wonderful to watch yesterday. Great to see KW, NV, AP and AA have major contributions to the success. As I stated before, the young guys are the future of this team. I would love nothing more than to see Musty succeed, but he needs to be taught that he cannot stay on the ice for 2 minutes every shift, nor can he take stupid penalties like the one he took on Friday...which ultimately cost us the game. At that juncture of the game on Friday, I felt like we were the better team. Once again, poor coaching and priviledged players, who have everything given to them cost us the game.

Nobody says anything about Goyette, but he always stays on the ice for a full 2+ minutes. The fact that he can stay on for so long only means that he's not skating hard enough. He has to change this, or he's never going to make it to the NHL For the record, I would love nothing more than seeing Goyette and the rest of our players make it.

I still don't understand Duncs decision in having 3 D's on the PP in yesterday's game. To top that off, we had 2 forwards and 2 D's that are all rookies (I don't understand). What in the world is Dunc doing. Hands down the worst coach in the league!!!

Dario's too busy being a drunk asshole and threatening fans that he'll move the team to actually improve the experience.

Yes... The guy one point back of the lead league in scoring with 12 pts in 7 games is not skating hard enough. Get your eyes checked lol. Goyette has been one of the best players on the ice every game since his return from NHL camp. Him and Delic are consistently the hardest workers on the team.

I don't mind goyette with extended pp time. Many high end pp guys in the NHL play minute and half on the power play extending on to the second unit. Pp is not like a regular shift, you can stay on longer because generally you are not hoping up and down the ice. Goyette is very disciplined with his regularshifts.

I did notice Musty a couple of times yesterday coming off when the puck was in the offensive zone. Maybe somebody is getting through to him.

Anyone know if Derbidge is done here in Sudbury? If so what do you think we can get for him in a trade??. For a 17 year old kid to leave is really unusual this early into the season. Let’s hope the Wolves do right by finding the young man a place to play sooner than later. I believe he would of been a strong asset for this team with more ice time.

Looks like he fell down as part of the numbers game. Tough break for him. I think he would have done well also.

Well let’s hope the Wolves don’t drag it out and not deal him and keep him sitting at home. Hope he is dealt soon for his own development.

Hard to gage what a fair ask is for him. Size, can score, can fight and is a good skater. Only 17 years of age and could be a sold 19 year old. What is fair depends on team that knows they can afford him the right opportunity to develop and be a solid OHL player for three years .

Nonsense, GMs have to gauge this all the time. The kid was a 5th rounder. Played as a 16 year old, but sparingly and only managed 8 pts in 38 games. Mania (4th rounder) as a defenseman had more production. I think a solid argument could be made for Mania to be worth close to 2.4 but Derbidge?

Players don't suddenly jump from being 5th rounders to being worth more than a 2nd round pick in one year of limited use.
