Krawchuck is our only hope. The Steelheads were shooting right at the crest in the third.

Larmand needs a kick in the ass. Better plan to use the education package.
Agreed on Larmand always seemes to me not working with a full deck.

Sooo how many games does Larmand get?

Im thinking 4 or 5 game
Hmm I think he's been suspended before. Wouldn't surprise if it's more. Specially when the goalie leaves the game. Careless and wreckless that's what the league office will say

Is there a timeline as to when Gaulton will be healthy? Can hurt to try him as the back-up when he is.

Wasn’t a match penalty. He got a game misconduct. That’s it. No suspension unless it’s a match call.

“We’re going to have to change some stuff. We need to find out what’s going to come out for Larmand and what kind of roster we’re going to be fielding tomorrow, but it is a huge two points. We’ll forget the result we got tonight, take our one point, move forward and try to get two tomorrow.”

Dave Cameron coaching and the potent fire power up would give the Wolves fits. They can play tough and have a strong and deep d-core with strong goaltending. North Bay has holes on the backend and only have 3 high end scoring players to shut down. With Ertel out for the year I'd take my chances with them before Ottawa imo.

WJ
who said Ertle out for the year?

I think WJ just used the further end of 6-(8) weeks to give a return of mid-March for Ertel which would be the end of the regular season.
The battalion is the last team anyone should want to face in the playoffs imo. DiVincentis (0.771 W%) even though NB has not yet had a full roster will start every game.

DMac has made some good defensive improvements since taking over but he has not improved the selfish undisciplined penalties and mistakes that this team continually makes. The Wolves were rolling at 3-0 and Larmand's selfish blunder changed the momentum of the game. Time and time again players selfishly put their petty on ice grievances first before the team . This has to stop before we can become relevant in the league standings.
Brassard's play since coming here has me wondering if he rivals as one of the worst goalies to play for the Wolves ever. Is he the equivalent of Connor Burgess, as the worst forward to ever don a Wolves jersey. I have never seen such a large goalie look so small as he did in the shootout yesterday. His cross ice crease movement is very lumbering. Papineau should fall on the sword for recruiting a goalie from another league , sight unseen. Waived by at least 3 teams is not a player we should want
Another troubling aspect lately is outside of Goyette, Mania, Toure and Degrazia is the lack of skating speed this team has. We need to draft ,recruit ,and yes retain players that possess speed and conditioning/stamina.

Brassard got this team to a shootout with his play in the third, unfortunately he did not come through in the shootout. Consistency is his big problem at this point, hopefully this will change.

Brassard no Assadourian that's for sure.

I took a look at the Larmand penalty, a few times. Larmand was skating across the net to close down on Missy player behind the net, goalie Beglieri put's a little "pick" on Larmand. Larmand puts the chicken wing on Beglieri, which he shouldn't have.

However, it didn't look like a shot that would make the goalie having to leave the game in my opinion. Having a 3-0 lead at the time, not a good move regardless, it's a habit Wolves seem to continously do, always something to get the opposing team back in the game.

Harsh. There has been a massive change/improvement re:discipline re: McCallum and Robinson. Yesterday was no more than a blip and DM’s new level of accountability will make constant improvements. As far as CB is concerned, I’m not even going there. Great kid who was victimized by dad. Not saying Bressard is perfect yesterday, but neither was the team in front of him. Bressard secured a pint for us that we didn’t deserve, he’s a good backup that cost us nothing. I agree speed is important, but you need more. I value your opinion but maybe an over reaction. Did you give yourself the 24hr cooling period when you get upset?

He's been suspended for the elbow. Will not play today.

Need the Wolves to come out with their best effort today.

5 goals on 39 shots, 2 wins on 11 GP, 4 saves on 11 shootout shots. This guy is not an OHL goalie, end of story.

Never suggested his record only the third period and overtime of the game last night which he performed very well and made some key saves to get them to the shootout.

Larmand is out! I can't understand his thought process on the play. This hurts the team as we don't have the depth to play with one forward short. It messes up the rolling of the lines. Just as we started to get things rolling with Musty and Goyette back then you have another bonehead move. So disappointing.

WJ

I would love to see Mania play the right wing in this one, but I don't see it happening.

Regardless both teams more then likely end up with a top end guy (Roobroeck, Hopkins, Martin, Moore, Schaefer, Griffin)

But Wolves are cool with taking a playoff spot as well as one of those guys. Gens can shoot for Roobroeck

re- Musty fight with Ritchie when game was in our favour and nothing left to prove but settle some draft day debate about who should be drafted first- result Musty out for weeks from hand infection that occurred as a result of the fight
Goyette- 4 game suspension for settling on ice dispute with hit to the head
Larmand- probably at least 4 games for avoidable elbowing of Beglieri yesterday

this is just the last month
