That was a big win and great comeback. Pulling the goalie was the right move, changed the momentum, good on Krawchuk, he looked more confident tonight and played well.

Unexpected but they deserved this win!

This Batman and Robin tandem of Musty and Goyette are something else

Guys that stepped up tonight Delic Boudreau Pharhand Mania and Krawchuk!!!😜

Huge overtime win!!! Wolves needed it badly. Didn't look good after the 2-0 deficit on the 5 minute major however they seemed to get some motivation from it some how and took the play. A couple of easy goals on Ranger resulted him being pulled. Krawchuk held the fort and Sudbury continued to climb back with a short roster. With DeGrazzia out with illness and Larmand ejected it didn't seem like Sudbury would have the depth. Toure and Mauro with very limited ice time as well. Goyette and Musty were creating lots of chances with Pharand being put on that line. Delic also began to pick up his play by carrying and controlling the play and creating space and chances. Wolves could put it away several times after tying it at 4. Overtime was exciting and it was just a matter of time that Goyette and Musty found a bit of space and finished the game off!!! Congrats on the win in Barrie and to climb up to 21 points in the East. Cmon Papineau find one more player that can help drive the second line with Delic and DeGrazzia.

Good eye. Now that you mention it I didn't see Konyen much in the 3rd. Pharhand on that line is a better fit. He plays hard.

Like I said when the trade for Ranger was made that we were acquiring an average goaltender and some scoffed at my comment. I still think im right on Ranger on somenights he plays better than average but those nights arent nearly enough. How many or if any games has he stolen for us? How many goalies have outplayed him in their games against us? How many soft goals has he allowed? I think we need to make a move for a 19 year old goaltender who projects to be a #1 next year. Hell if we make the playoffs how are we going to advance with average goaltening. If he cant handle the pressure of a 2 - 0 lead going into the 3rd and allows 4 goals on 7 shots how the hell is he going to handle a playoff game? Series?

If Papineau could acquire Import goalie Ivan Zhigalov and OA sniper Avery Hayes at the deadline, those two additions would improve the team drastically. Wouldn't be cheap though

I think Papineau is up to something no doubt. We just don't know what , and for who, yet. Past years he's made deadline deals so I don't think this year's will be any different. You need a tender, (unless Krawchuk steals the show) Need at least 2 moves for the O and perhaps one on the D

I don't think Sudbury will go after goaltending at the deadline. We already gave a 4th for Ranger in the 2023 draft and Krawchuck will get half the games next season with whatever goalie they sign next season. I'm thinking Morrow. Then they will assess it from there.

As for getting players this season to help boost the offence Papineau would need to be very creative as we don't have a lot of picks at our disposal to trade this season especially if the focus is on next season. Unless of course he does something like this,

Send out Robinson, Derbidge and Mauro for whatever picks you can get. Say 3 4ths in total.

Then if we can find an agreement between the Dvorksky camp reporting if a deal to Kitchener would make him come over so that he can play alongside fellow countrymen in Mesar. Dvorsky, Assadourian and Toure for Hamara and Martin and we get added picks like 2 2nds and 2 3rds.

Then we go after Winterton and White from Hamilton.

Does Papineau have that in him??? Who knows but Sudbury could be a very dangerous team if they did something along those lines.
