When is the trade deadline?

Considering the prices, I certainly hope the Wolves aren't done dealing and see what they can get for a few of there 03's

Usually Jan. 10, Jan. 9 for OAs.
Considering the prices, trades made, and rumoured trades to be completed; buying teams might not have much left to offer the wolves for their remaining ‘03s

Unless Sudbury is willing to part with Goyette, that would be a game changer.

I don’t know what other teams would offer but I could see the Knights offer

Cowen, Paris and two 2nds
If the wolves look past next season using Goyette in a trade; start the offer with Barkey and finish shy of the return on rumoured Beck deal.

We need Barkey this year as he is a ppg player, Cowen who is still 2005 is just behind him in development and will be big time player the next 2.5 years.

If it is Barkey that would be almost straight up but that would benefit both teams. Pay to play I guess

If not Barkey, Bonk would need to be in play.
Supposedly Van Volsen + for Beck, so Barkey + for Goyette.
Beck and Van Volsen both grade better than Goyette and Barkey, right?

Barkey, Bonk 2nd 2nd
Goyette is 1,60 ppg and I don’t think Musty would be very happy to lose him. London would definitely need to overpay for the Wolves to consider it.

Bonk is an elite level player, 4th in overall rookie scoring as a defensemen. He would only be considered for a “Clarke” type player and moving him for a fwd would leave a hole at D.

I have not seen Sudbury play much this year so figuring out value for 2003 fwds by stats alone leaves me to think there is not going to be movement. Your really well set up with a 2004/05 core, should be a team to watch for the next few years.

And Beck. Team is loaded. Hopefully we can build something like this very soon.

That’d be a hard no from London

McCallum hasn’t even been good. I think Sudbury would be lucky to get a couple picks for him
What are you talking about there pal. You watch every Wolves game this year to know what he brings to the table? Anyway, London is the last team I’d like to see us deal with.
I know some of you like to have fun with scenarios but talking about Goyette is a waste of time, he’s going nowhere.

So this means Rangers done as a Wolf?
I suspected something was up last night when all the players on the bench went to Ranger and gave him a tap on the pads after the first period. It was different where the entire bench went to him. I found it weird. So this decision was made well before the game last night and Ranger had already knew. Especially since the new kid is already in Hamilton ready to play tonight.

As much as it sucks to see this happen to a good kid, it is a business and he was struggling the last 12 games without much improvement even last night IMO. These tough decisions are made based on the business side not the personal side because if it were we would be dealing nobody.

So Papineau's experiment didn't work out with him and we coughed up a 4th. But getting the Brassard kid for free really makes up for it. Let's hope this bigger goalie can play more sound in his crease.

The only thing with this move is how affects the room. He was a character guy.

Really well said Jack. Hard not to feel for him. Great kid.

With trades taking place today involving sauga and Hamilton, you would think the wolves should have a good chance sweeping this weekend. In the very least wining one of two.

Was thinking the same. However lost two good character guys. Lets hope it doesn't affect the room as much.

I think they should be fine. If anything makes them more determined to succeed and just as important WIN. Afterall in the end that's what it's all about it. As I mentioned before, you can't manage and coach on feeling. Feel bad for Ranger but I'm sure he'd admit his play was not up to par. It's about the team and team success. They'll be fine .

Yes I’ve seen enough Wolves game to know I’m not a fan. Thanks for chiming in “pal”

More like you blabbering on our board. Youre not a fan right? Do like the birds do and flock off.
Nothing wrong with sharing opinions but you came in here with a negative attitude man. Not a good way to be welcomed.
