Sudbury Wolves 2022-23 Season Thread (Part 2)

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Might be illness or the Coach sending a message that he doesn’t like seeing his name on the suspension list…????Might be a teaching moment. Where we begged for accountability the first few months of the season we might be seeing it tonight…who knows.

My spider senses are tingling but I wouldn't of picked him as part of a deal this season at least. To get a guy like Beck you're looking to making significant noise within the div with also more added pieces of course. Including a goalie. Alot of moving parts.

Illness maybe. Send a message? Nah. He got punished already for the act. But who knows you could be correct.

The biggest thing with Beck is he's an 04. Would be a move not only to help this season, but a huge move for next season. Having one of the most elite centers in the league for a run next season. Heavy heavy price tag on Beck. Any chance at Beck would have to involve a package around Villeneuve. Doubt in happens but it would truly be a Wow deal from Ole Paps

Good effort and win tonight.

PK has to tighten up, I would like to see Delic back on the PK, not sure why not being used there anymore.

Saw the replay and still don't understand how Ranger ended up laid out flat on stomach, without his stick, on the last Oshawa goal.
 
Kind of a scrappy game tonight. No real flow however Wolves were the better team other than the PP. Oshawa won in that department. Goyette/Musty/Delic are just so dangerous. Would be really curious to see what this team would be like if they had another line as talented.

Curious to know what is up with Villeneuve not dressing tonight. Would be interesting if the Wolves made a splash for an elite 18 year old for him. Add that player with Dvorksy to make up 2/3rds of a second scoring line would really have the league take notice that next year would be our year. But then again could just be a sickness, injury, or discipline.

Hope the Wolves can continue the winning ways this weekend in Hamilton and Mississauga. Hope those teams unload before we get there lol.

See above. Think it’s credible. Hamilton has already started. Not so sure Missy is thinking sell but who knows, they’ve been spiralling. We need one of two.

Sarnia is about to acquire the Missy players and the Petes are going after Beck. They are selling.

Kitchener and Perhaps London will now need to keep up with the arms race in the West. Gonna be an interesting couple of days. In the East, who is Barrie adding now that the Pete’s appear to be done. Is Ottawa going after Morrison? Who else…should Wolves now slow play the market?? Smart to get Holmes done early with the massive return.

I really think London or Kitchener will want to make a pitch for McCallum. The depth guys are up now. And I can see Martin and McCallum on a line together.

He'd make a good 1. Should of been given an A this season. Still not sure why Larmand recieved over Delic.

Might be tempting given the return. Should also include a conditional though if he plays next season, which he almost certainly would or in any event the return should be reflective.
The problem with this potential deal is that he could be so valuable to the Wolves next year and is almost a lock to come back. You can trade for a hired gun next year, but not many players bring the intangibles that he brings.
