did you notice Holmes didn't play any PK in the 3rd. it was Toure, Anania, and Collins, Robinson. They did a great job in the third kill all these penalties.
Sure did. Wouldn't be surprised seeing him moved. During the scrum with Musty getting tossed, everybody grabbing someone. Even smallest of players. Holmes uninteresting.

Always nice to give Oshawa a little spanking. Strong game from the boys and nice way to go into the holiday break. Rest up and gear up to make a push for a playoff spot in the 2nd half of the season.

Let's hear some people's wish lists for the trade deadline. I think this team needs help everywhere, but also think this team is better then what their record shows. They should be able to make the playoffs with some more consistent play and learning to close out games and not blow leads.

Notes:
-Ranger clearly looks better on more rest and not shouldering as heavy of workload as he's been doing. So either start giving Krawchuk more games, or look to bring in another goalie. I think if the Wolves could target an 03 goalie, someone with some more experience and that could potentially battle for one of the OA spots next season, that could really help Ranger and solidify the Wolves goaltending. Perhaps taking a chance on Ivanov or Rosenzweig. Change of scenery could really help a guy like Rosenzweig.

-Safe to say another scorer up front would help balance the lineup. Best way to acquire that would be an OA forward. Would have to move or drop D.Robinson to make space for another OA.

-Trade Holmes and Larmand for some additional draft picks.

-With an open Import spot, look to target a stay at home type Dman, someone that plays a defensive physical style that can shut guys down. Targets that come to mind could be someone like Grushnikov or Parfenyuk.

Lineup

Musty Goyette Pharand
Villeneuve Delic Hayes
Degrazia McCallum Konyen
Boudreau Walton DiGiantommaso
Mauro

Mania Collins
Grushnikov Chromiak
Anania Toure
Bishop

Ranger
Ivanov/Rosenzweig

I too think it was a 'slewfoot' by the rule book definition. The challenge of the short video clip is you don't see the front side of the clip. Was the Oshawa player hanging on to Musty's arm? To me it looked like he was.... Did the Oshawa player... sell it? There is a rule book and the referees need to judge its application. There was no risk of injury, there was no injury, and I don't believe there was any intent or maliciousness on the play. In my view, the coming together of the officials should have brought the conclusion to 'interference'. But I don't wear stripes, just arm rests. My call is no suspension.

No suspension warranted imo, but no video evidence to reverse the slewfoot call on the ice; so, automatic match with a review to follow.

Not a lot of quality goalies available, maybe Parsons out of Kitchener or a goalie from Erie? Draft Capital should be focused on bottom six and D IMO. Maybe Morrow re-enters the picture? We have a surplus of 19 year olds that could prop up the teams that are “Going for it”. Peterborough need help on back end and bottom 6, make a package they can’t refuse. Same goes for Kitchener, surplus of goaltending and will enter a total rebuild after this season…they have some interesting youth that could help us next year. Kitchener would move bodies and hold draft picks at this point..

Hopefully, we play Krawchuk more - I think he is worthy of more ice. That should help Ranger for now, I hope. Perhaps Morrow as per Wolf on a Wire, can come in? Gaulton is losing a big part of the year for development with his injury... so not sure what we could expect from him even next year. I am in agreement with billoink.... we may best be served to find another goalie...

Prices are really high, better to sell some assets I think at this time, as I believe the team will make the playoffs, but seriously - Ottawa is a tall order for any team. So selling may be better than buying. Remember, there are just a 'few' teams ahead of us all considering the same options.

It was a wish list :)
The wolves would be really good with those three, and make Zullich happy. He really wanted to be part of something good in the wolves 50th season.

i believe they are talking ot teams about a goalie but not sure if its an 03, i think they have talked about a few different things

Zulich wants to do something for the 50th? You mean aside from walk around and tell fans how he's going to move the team to King City?

he's been quiet that way for a while. I believe the new mayor also wants a new arena in Sudbury somewhat sooner rather than later

They need something as Krawchuk won't be ready to take the number 1 spot next year. There aren't too many teams with goaltending surpluses unfortunately

Hello Wolves fans
Tonight I am reaching out to the broader hockey family and communities not as a London Knights fan, but as a concerned human being. As you know, one of our Knights players died tragically this past Saturday. His friends, family and the community are devastated.
Please consider donating to the GoFundMe page set up by his family to help with the funeral arrangements.
Thank you

Hi again.
Seems the page has been taken down for some reason.
The Knights are checking into it with the family right now. Please stay tuned.

I agree. Rewatching it's not even clear whether he actually took out the right leg or not. His leg was behind Ertel's but from that angle it's unclear if there was any contact below the waist. Certainly didn't take out the left leg. That's probably the kind of play that goes uncalled most of the time as Ertel wasn't even moving his feet as they battled for position while Musty was driving hard to get back in the play. Interference at best IMO.

That is called every time, for 4-5 years now.
Leg behind and arm in front of player with a motion forward or back against that player is 100% slew foot with automatic match to be reviewed.

Here is the definition we must always start from:
Rule 52 – Slew-footing
52.1 Slew-footing –Slew-footing is the act of a player using his leg or foot
to knock or kick an opponent’s feet from under him, or pushes an
opponent’s upper body backward with an arm or elbow, and at the
same time with a forward motion of his leg, knocks or kicks the
opponent’s feet from under him, or uses his leg as leverage and
pushes the opponent’s upper body backward causing his opponent to
trip or fall.
There are 3 varieties defined above. When I watch the video, it's none of the three. He doesn't use his leg or foot to knock or kick an opponent's feet from under him so that disqualifies the first two. He also doesn't use his leg as leverage as he's pushing Ertel backwards. Maybe a different view would convince me to change my mind on the 3rd definition, but I honestly cannot call this a slew-foot based on this definition.

Watch again, see where the left leg of Musty is as he clearly pulls the player backwards with his left arm.
I do not believe the play is worthy of further discipline, but there is no way the call on the ice could have been reversed seeing the replay I watched several times.

ya i watched and really tried to see what you're saying...but this is all I see...
