I always find looking back at trades and who the picks turned into to be interesting. I took a look at some recent ones out of curiosity:

Jack Thompson <--> Jacob Holmes, Marc Boudreau, 2022 2nd (Andrew Gaulton)

Giordano Biondi <--> 2022 8th (prospect Quinten Lisle)

Chase Stillman <--> Alex Pharand, 2022 2nd (Kieron Walton), future 2nd x 1, future 3rd x 3

Matej Pekar (from Barrie) <--> 2022 2nd (Carter Lowe), 2020 3rd (Cooper Matthews), future 2nd/5th/6th

Peter Stratis <--> 2021 4th (Matthew Mania)

Adam Ruzicka (from Sarnia) <--> 2020 3rd (Ryder McIntyre), 2021 2nd (Ben Lalkin), 2021 3rd (traded)

Anthony DeMeo (from SOO) <--> Drew Wawrow, 2020 5th (Charlie Schenkel), 2021 3rd (Ethan Montroy)

Jake McGrath <--> 2022 4th (Conor Walton), 2023 5th*

More sad than funny. The line-up has been through a blender recently, but something like;
Avon-Robertson-Lockhart
Othmann-Panwar-Lardis
Meelee-Stillman-Purdeller
VanVolsen-Dubois-DeZoete
There is no place for L.McCallum right now.

I don't even like McCallum that much, but he'd be 6th in scoring on the Petes while bringing physical play to the ice.

I only really thought of him as a relatively cheap and experienced depth piece for the 3rd/4th line
I think for a contender, he's an ideal third-liner. Can carry the puck and be a distributor on his line. Plays physical, can shut players down, and is pretty good on the PK.

Similar to wolves should have acquired Sirrizotti?

McCallum is not better than Dubois, just significantly smaller. McCallum does not usurp a spot from 18 yr old 2nd round picks & import; Meelee, DeZoete, & Purdeller. Though an OA, Panwar is the better player.

McCallum is not a fit for the Petes roster right now. Other moves would have to happen. And the Petes must be close to the card limit.

I agree that the McCallum we have seen in the last ~15 game stretch is a 3rd line player on a contending team. I'd like to see him continue his strong play into the end of the season to feel better about keeping him as an OA next year. I am doubtful that the Wolves will be in go-for-it mode next year so rather than spending picks to go after another OA it may be best to keep our homegrown player. Having said that, if a good deal presents itself in the next few weeks I say we should sell high on McCallum and give that ice time to 05's & 06's.

Hoping for a good game tonight - last time we'll see them in Sudbury for a couple weeks!

Thanks to Papineau for getting the worst goaltending in the league and not trading to repair his mistake We will never win again !! Sad

Really wanted Krawchuk to get that win - thought he showed well tonight. Tough to get confidence when you play as sparingly as he has thus far.

Thought McCallum was great - he may have been our best forward tonight

Noticed Chromiak in good ways tonight - saw some flashes on a couple shifts of what he could become with time

Relax a bit on the McCallum coolaid pal Delic and Goyette were really strong offensively then McCallum but once again a lot of sleepers.

In case you fell asleep in was Groundhog Day again. Blow a lead in the 3rd. Paps has got to go. Need a shakeup on the decision making going forward!&
I was able to stay awake, barely. Low point of the season tonight. Winnable game at home, they had very little jump, low shot total and more importantly low energy. 21 shots at home, are you kidding me? Very disappointing. If tonight wasn't a clear indicator of changes needed then I don't know what else to say.

So Dunc was the problem? Very little has changed. Papineau didn't give him the tools to succeed and so far the same for Derek. I don't know what Papineau has up his sleeve but he better be pulling a rabbit out of a hat. I cannot believe that he'll barely do anything of significance to put this team in a better position going forward.

Crap game played by two crap teams tonight. I really can't comment n tonight's show

Tonight's poll question. What was worse, the disorganized and poorly executed between period events ORthe during the period game of hockey. Really do they practice these things first to see how they work. Can anyone fold a t-shirt for the cannon. Robinson almost firing a breakout pass off villeneuve into his own net, toure killing a 5 on three by joining the rush as macallum is loosing the puck at centre ice. I know people on here like him, but he does not really have a clue, he is out of position a ton.
All of the above and lots more was just pure unintentional comedy gold
