In all due respect that penalty for tripping the goalie was a game changer. Petes were not scoring on your goalie, you gave them a 5-3 and life. The stupid thing with the play was that there was NO one around him when he did it, then he complains to ref about the call. Should not have seen any ice time after that.

The Petes have had near sellouts for their first two playoff games. They have had great crowds all season.

Am I alone here on feeling that we should be coming home with at least a split. Considering we are missing Collins, DeGrazzia and Walton we are playing very well against a team that we’re buyers and are “going for it “.

Last thought: Dylan Robinson is playing like it’s his last chance to play in the O, I admire his grit, determination and leadership. What’s encouraging is that on the other end of the career scale is 16 year old Villi who plays the same way. This kid is special, smart, skilled, determined and fearless.
Time to regroup Wolfers and bring our A+ games this week.

Admire your enthusiasm but I’m sorry not coming home with a split and the fact we are down Collins, DeGrazia and undisciplined play which has caused us to lose both games is too much to overcome. In fact we should be up 2-0. The Pete’s have corrected their game plan to just wait for the Wolves to do something stupid. And then capitalize.
Coughlan first game, last night McCallum. Then McCallum removes himself from the game or was told to hit the showers by DMac. At that point the team was deflated. Game over!

MaCallum needs to be among top six forwards in TOI for the wolves to have any success in this years playoffs imo. Talk to the kid, skip a shift; benching for the rest of the game or if sending MacCallum to the dressing room was a losers move, I think.

better to nip it in the butt early in the series, will see how team responds from this. Credit to DM, message is clear now to the team.
If true, never seen a coach send a player to dressing room and to get dressed and go into the stands after taking that penalty. Thats a tough one to come back from.

Not to take any responsibility away from McCallum but Simpson baited him (good for him/Id do the same) and then proceeded to dive into the deep end of the pool. Could have/ should have been an unsportsmanlike like call to Simpson. But I get why there was no call against Simpson, playing in home barn and McCallum is a rat with a rep. Already short handed McCallum needs to learn not to put himself in those situations.
I do agree he needs to be top 6 TOI for us to be successful. While we are on the topic of TOI, I personally see more value in Beaudreau than Larmand. Not sure why Larmand is 4th line and only getting PK time. Same goes for Konyen over Pharand. Luv Pharand but he has lost his groove and needs to be a third line role/shit down player. Pharand hasn’t shown any offensive upside for a while, it will come again but now I’m not sure we can wait for it.

We will see how Landon will respond , very embarrassing to say the least, did the benching cost us a chance of winning? Will he play again in the series, did he mouth off to the coaches, how will the players respond to the benching? Guess we will find out Tuesday. If anyone attends the practices can you post if he is on the ice and how he looks.
The wolves lost because they got scored on when McCallum was an absolute moron. They did not lose because they benched him. The goal literally happened while he was in the box.

I'm confident enough in the Wolves that this series will go 6 or 7 games, I won't be cocky about it though. Wolves need to get Collins back in the line-up for when the series heads to Sudbury next Tuesday. I'm also confident enough in saying the Petes are absolutely toast against Ottawa if they make it to round 2. Petes don't stand a chance against any of Barrie, North Bay or Ottawa. And to think the Petes gave up Lardis and Van Volsen

Don't be so sensitive! I wouldn't be too confident going forward with how the Petes are playing. They should be completely dominating the Wolves on talent alone but that hasn't happened yet. They've taken advantage of the Wolves stupidity. If you guys do beat the Wolves, I hope it was worth it at the expense of giving away Lardis and Van Volsen to win just a single round! #Petesaretoastafterround1

Sudbury is a mickey mouse operation they lost a lot of fans with the previous owner and his son fiasco i'm one of them i use to go 15 to 20 games a year now once every 2 to 3 years.On top of that their concession price are stupid crazy high which really hurts them to get fans to go to their games.

I am not going to defend him to you, I read all your posts and you are very knowledgeable and I respect your opinion. He does set up a lot of plays and coaches use him in many key roles. I just don’t want to see a precedent set if some of our more valuable players do something stupid and they are forced to sit them because of benching Landon.
