Only one I think could be questionable is Toure, but without knowing what its for, hard to say.

Larmand probably deserves more given it's his third head shot suspension of 2023. Robinson got the standard slewfooting penalty.
Agree. It’s tempting but I for one am not going down the refs are out to get us road. Our track record speaks for itself. We have led the league in bone headed selfish plays all season, and for the last several it seems. A culture that needs to change. The players have themselves to blame. Slew foot is automatic (we must lead the league in those). and Larmand’s a repeat offender. Deserved. Touree not sure what that is for. If it walks like a duck and quacks, it’s a duck. Smarten the hell up unless, if they pull that stupidity in the playoffs it will lights out real fast.

Yep. That clinches it. Good job boys. Now go surprise someone (like North Bay)

Happy the wolves won. But they are going to have to up their game tremendously. I look forward to it

I’m also very happy for the entire team, but I agree, too many passengers tonight and too much individual play. Loved Delic, McCallum, Yearwood and Villineuve..

Congrats Wolfers and all you passionate fellow bird fans. We deserve some playoff hockey. Fans/overdue. Players will gain experience and in the East anybody can beat anybody. So you say there’s a chance???!

Last 10 games

Musty 17 points +5
Goyette 14 points +8
Delic 13 points +7
McCallum 10 points +8
This is very impressive but I can’t take my eyes off Villineuve, he is such a complete 200foot player. We need to draft 3 more of him and Delic type players. Furthermore, I can remember when we traded for Yearwood a London Board poster said, good player but not gonna win a scoring championship. Agreed, he isn’t Goyette, but do you see what coaching, confidence and opportunity can do? A 10th round pick for this kid was an amazing trade. Just saying.

These stats would be better if you take last nights game away from Musty and Goyette.

Agreed, Yearwood has been impressive and continues to improve. To get him for a 10th rounder was a steal. He has surprisingly good hands and shows good patience with the puck. In 26 games with the Wolves he has 16 points. Excellent trade

C.Walton and Bruce looked ok last night. I like the way Bruce moves around the ice for a big guy and showed grit. While C. Walton plays a smart methodical game with some nastiness,he is patient with puck and made some good 1st pass out of our zone last night. I liked what I saw…

Both Yearwood and Coughlan have been great additions, especially once you factor in the price.

I thought both Bruce and C.Walton had solid games yesterday, given the circumstances they were stepping into. They both have significantly more potential for next year than Bishop at this point.

Lots of the players lower in the lineup stepping up recently, I think at this point Laramand has played his way out of consideration for an OA spot, McCallum, Boudreau, Toure, Anania all showing more.

Pharand needs a wake up call and I would suggest a good tilt may do it. He has soooo much to offer but I feel his confidence level is at a low. His ice time has twindled and he is being robbed by goal posts and unbelievable saves. If he can regain his scoring touch anything is possible going forward with this team. I would try to get McCullum out with him on a few shifts as he will find him in the slot and his scoring chances will increase. He has to get that monkey off his back and McCullum may be the answer. Only a thought.

First 34 games .. 16 goals, 25 points
Last 29 games .. 2 goals, 12 points

Definitely snake bitten right now. He's a solid player and hopefully he can build some confidence heading into the playoffs

Easy they're Billoink, yes he has been snake bitten, but he plays hard every shift and plays a responsible 200 ft game. He has played alot of hockey and gone over to BC is prospect games. I measure a player on his on his work ethic and effort, and there is no questioning that.

I believe he has been in the mix with a few lines, and the line with Boudreau, and Villeneuve is a solid line, and shut down line.

It is not always about putting numbers on the board, encouraging the player to get into a fight is kind of sad, these are kids and I don't really care to see young kids fighting and getting hurt for no reason.

He is one of the few that has played every game, and can be counted on as a reliable player. He has had a solid second year, he's a great kid and model OHL player, future is bright for Pharand. These criticism sounds familiar when Byfield was on the team, but he's playing in LA now.

What is your problem, you are back again interrupting posts the way you want without comprehending what is being said. Firstly I am a big supporter of Alex and he knows what he has to do. He can score goals and yes he plays a solid game. It is his confidence. He went out to BC yes and did you not see he got in a fight? He new he had to do something to draw the attention of scouts knowing what limited ice he would get. This is what I was referring to. With regards to Byfield who could not be a fan of his, or any constructed criticism of him of coarse you would draw your own conclusions. You remind me of a person who asks a question but instead of listening to the answer is to preoccupied with telling you what he thinks. Oh, and by the way, I have an autographed sweater of Byfield have not worn it but I am still a fan😃hopefully Alex does not get in a fight the rest of the way or I am sure you will find some way to blame me for that.

Toure suspension against Barrie - At 18: 11 of the second period, there was a scrum inside the Sudbury zone Toure came into. He grabbed Savard around the neck then threw him to the ice. Then shoved him into the ice as he was laying on the ice. He also said something to him as he was laying on the ice. Initially he recieved 2 min for roughing. Savard looked to be hurt from the incident.

No interruptions, and I read and listen very well. You said a Wake Up call? The kid bust his butt every shift, he maybe in a rut but he is no slacker, and he is valuable to the team, even if he is not scoring. Eventually scoring will come, he is getting his opportunities, and they will start to go in. Thinking someone getting into a fight will help his scoring and give him confidence is foolish. I give him credit he hasn't got frustrated and that it has been detrimental to the team. A little patience I would say for good kid, and good player.

I just think the kid is burnt out. Its his first full season. Last year he only started to get regular ice time after his trade to Sudbury. He started the season on fire. Since the second half I just think he has tired out. Played a lot of hockey and has had a heavy load with all the injuries and suspensions to the Wolves this year. Then he played a lot of hockey the week leading to the CHL Prospects game and following. Travelling out west and east to play like 4 or 5 games in a week. He could use a bit of a break. But unfortunate that Larmand got suspended 3 times in the second half of the season. Goyette for 4 games, Musty being hurt as well Delic. Then Walton and DeGrazia. I was hoping the Wolves could ice a full line up before the end of the season but its not looking that way now with all these suspensions.

IMO, Alex has been mostly invisible since Christmas.

First of all, I think we all agree that Alex isn’t quite on his game. But never think for one moment that he is not a key player on this team. The way I look at Alex is he has Delic puck handling skills trapped in a bigger body. I find Alex is most affective when he plays a hard game. He doesn’t need to fight but he should be feared physically. I loved to see this mild natured young man get meaner, Zack Stortini type of meanness. Having said that, Alex has so much skill. Strong skater with great edges, see the ice well and has a bullet shot. I loved him in bumper position on PP, being that net front presence that takes the goalies eyes away. Right now, I do believe he is off his game. He seems confused and looks like a player who is trying to find a role. But what is fans can’t be confused about is Alex is a high end kid/player. Other than trading Sokolov years back to ensure we got Byfield, the Stillman for Pharand trade might be the best trade Paps has ever made up till now. Not for the boatload of draft picks but for the player. This kid will find his way, work ethic is off the charts and good guys always win! Alex Pharand is a great player and a great person. Besides that he is one of us, a local boy. Show some love please.

Could not agree more, maybe the phrase kick start I stated should have read confidence boost. He needs to be put in more of an offensive role at times and he will work his offensive slump out.
