I should not but I sort of believe in omens. Like. So, IF my hip can take it my daughter and I are going to the last game of the season in Montreal. We plan on driving up. There are some who would probably smash my car if they saw "Ladyfan" plates.
My old Honda has 3 Bruins stickers on the back glass window. I got this car in 2010. The stickers are just a Boston Bruins one and a KEEP CALM AND BERGERON and one that says "DIRTY WATER TASTES BETTER FROM THE CUP" (It is a picture of the cup).
Years ago, a friend who I met sailing in the Summer right after the Bs won told me I should never drive my car to Montreal with all of those Bs decals on it. It was the first year we went on the schooner, and he was introduced as "Canada Tom" from outside of Montreal. He worked in the gally and is about my age. I asked him if he liked hockey and he said, "Not the Bruins". He is fun.
So....I will probably find one or two new decals and put them on right after my trip to see the Habs.....Just in time for the playoffs.
Last time I bought a car the Bs won the cup....
I have a 21 Forrester and love it.Family used to have a Forrester. It was durable, roomy and powerful. I think you will like your SUV.
Cool, glad to see they kept up the tradition.I have a 21 Forrester and love it.
They ALWAYS think they are puppy size!!!! Oceans of Love Savannah!!!!
Now you just need LADYFAN license plates...
Good luck! I've been in a similar situation with a house I rented in upstate NY. The tub and toilet somehow got backed up and no matter what I did would unclog it.No frozen pipes here but I had a serious clog in the line that was causing my kitchen sink to back up every time I ran the washing machine. It's been an issue for a while but getting worse the last few weeks to the point where I did laundry on Thursday and my kitchen sink was full and didn't drain at all for three days. Drano didn't work at all. My last resort before calling a plumber was going to Home Depot and buying a 25 foot auger then snaking the line from behind the washing machine, and after doing that, the sink drained completely, so it must've worked. We'll see next time I do laundry if it's fully cleared or only partially, but I'm happy with the progress made and being able to fix things DIY instead of spending hundreds with a plumber.
Well, I did it. I put a deposit on a new car. My Honda is stuck in my driveway needing either a clutch or transmission. It is 13+ years old and I don't want to put more money in it.
My new car is in port and I should have it within 2 weeks. I am nervous about car payments as it has been many years since I have had them.
My new car...

Our Xtrek has been great....only normal maintenance ....after 8 years just dropped 2000 on brakes, calipers, rotors... no other big expenses before
one thing that is interesting is that if you go to get autoparts, its not listed in their computer as cross trek....
ours at least is listed a XV cross trek
@BMC
NESN has done many dumb things but cutting Guerin ranks near the top.
She was beloved by everyone but was cut loose after 2000 as Tom Werner demanded more diversity on Sox games.

It's really the science of it that intrigues me. Baking is very much affected by the amounts of the ingredients and how long a certain step is performed, which really fits my personality. Cooking, which is much more about feel (at least in a lot of cases) is much harder for me.Sounds disturbingly like me
I've been watching a lot of cooking and baking youtubers recently and learning a lot about the science of it all. It's really interesting IMO and wish I knew all of that when I was younger.
Yes I’ve been to Sams. Many times, but not in a couple years. The first time i went the sandwiches were $13.95. A couple years ago i believe it was $17.95. It’s even more expensive now but at least it’s good, and the portions are bigger than you think. You could stop at half a sandwich for lunch, but it’s so good you won’t be able to.Best Sandwich Shops in Boston 2022: 13 Tasty, Portable Options
Hot or cold, packed with veggies or a meat lover’s dream, sandwiches around Boston keep hungry hands full.www.timeout.com
I work in DTC, and Sam LaGrassa's is nearby. So is Luke's (seafood and crustation creations -- lobster rolls, crab, etc.)
Pricey -- a sandwich from either is, like, $25.
Cheap bastard that I am, I'll eventually check both.
In the meantime: Has anyone been to Sam LaGrassa's (no. #2 on the list of local best above), Luke's, or both?
Reviews much appreciated, especially per best in show/your favorite,

My landlord said my neighbor had a snake I could borrow so I did.
I was a commercial solar technician at the time and figured it couldn't be rocket science to do my own plumbing in the basement with the snake. Ended up taking all the piping apart and snaked the hell out of everything. Panicked for a second and felt like the 3 stooges plumbing episode but I was able to put it back together without leaks lol.
And it didn't fix my issue. Traveled out west for work a couple days after that and my landlord had a plumber come and fix the issue.
WOW. They just pulled a kid out of the wreckage from the earthquake in Turkey after a week of being beneath the mess. That is a miracle as it is cold.
Those poor people.

If you’re gonna go, go all the way and don’t get some like chicken salad or ham and cheese. Get a pastrami diablo, or a chipotle corned beef or something. They’re all very good but the ones that you look at and say “woah, that is probably a great sando” are definitely excellent. My go to was the pastrami corned beef combo
Just those prices now. Yikes.
My landlord told me he just kept dumping drano down and it eventually cleared. Didn't really see it first hand since I was in Cali working for 2 weeks. Now the DIY plumber in me really wants to know what the issue was.
You are a good man, Andrew!Been super fortunate/grateful being asked to speak at local High Schools and Colleges to discuss addiction/recovery over the years etc...two weeks or so ago I spoke at a HS, grade 12 students, afterwards, a really sweet young lady approached me, said she was terrified with her dad`s drinking, he wasn`t/isn`t violent but drinking, at least a dozen beers a day, was just let go from another job etc...
I provided her with a number he could call when he`s ready, she can beg, plead with him but only until someone is truly ready will they change. I got a call Saturday afternoon from our local AA office as I`m on a list there for them to call me if someone is looking to go to a meeting but is hesitant not knowing anyone. I agreed to meet the man at a Tim Horton`s prior to the meeting, he walked in, after some small talk, I discovered it was that young ladies father.
He now has 3 days sober, taking him to a meeting tonight. No guarantees he`ll stay sober but always grateful to be of service to others
