Blais had great potential for a long time but I think injuries kind of affected that. Hoping he keeps it up. Would be nice if he turned into something because Buch was obviously nothing short of amazing for us.

OK, I'm exaggerating some. Pavel was great for us. But this kid barely has a 100 games in. And is still young. And he brings in attributes Pavel never had and this team desperately needs. Grit and toughness. I'm not saying Pavel was a pushover, but this guy is tough to knock off his feet and goes to the tough area in front of the net. I liked Pavel and hated to see him leave in his prime. But it now looks like,... we really did get something in return

Kakko's scored 2 goals in 3 preseason games, Laf has the OT winner last night. What is the problem?

like I said I feel like Laf is still feeling his way. Let him settle with Zibanejad and I think he'll be fine, but bounce him around the lineup if he doens't produce immediately and he may end up struggling more this year.

Tinordi is also pretty bad

Panarin had a terrible game until he cleaned it up a bit in the third and scored that nice goal, but man he was just bad decision and turnover after turnover before that.

Blais is really strong on his skates. Like him a lot so far. Igor had a really good game and Mika looks like he’s ready to go. Fox and Panarin just our resident geniuses. Great goal by Kaapo.

Subban strikes me as the guy who just plays kinda careless, I don't think he's a "target the knee!" on purpose guy but he does shit that you know could hurt people and is just like "eh" about it, and yeah he's not gonna have any chops to back himself up and is just gonna jaw and hide

the more "impressive" thing is the push back against him from the Rangers who made his night a bit more miserable. Also nice that he got burned by Kakko on his goal
