This streak has been unreal. It's also shown me that we truly have some fans on here who only post when shit is going bad. I know y'all will be back in droves when the team loses 1 game to shit all over the team/Holland/Skinner, etc.

If you can't enjoy what the team is doing (something literally historic) then honestly you can f*** right off to the ignore button. Yes, I am telling you how to be a fan, your whiny shtick gets old fast and if you can't enjoy this run why are you even a fan of the team?

There are people that dislike Holland so much that even if we win the cup they will find a way to spin it in a negative fashion

I swear the Habs, Flames and Nucks fans that I know don't even throw as many jabs at the Oilers as some on here

Feels good to see this club learning to play sound defence in all areas of the ice, get strong goaltending, and to see the bottom six finding ”game”and contributing in multiple ways. And hey, second unit PP scored yesterday too!

They aren’t peaking so much as they are rounding solidly into what they are as a sum of their parts.

Okay fine, I will leave...
Can I make a "this is good bye" thread for it?
I can't handle all these wins

Watching him from row 5, he only played 9 and a bit, but was very noticeable the whole time. His engine is undeniable but he seems to have generated a feel for the game and knows where the puck is gonna be before it gets there.

I was thinking about what Holloway will be once he settles into the NHL, I think he'll be similar to Grier or Moreau or Foegele (for a more recent comparison). Though there maybe more offensive potential in the long run, still see him as a middle sixer and maybe net front on PP2?

And another poster mentioned Perry could hopefully have an impact on Holloway's play in terms of being a bit of a pest. Which provided it doesn't come with a habit of bad penalties why not?

I'd seriously give Hemsky a call. I really want to see him hoist the cup with the Oilers
And give him a desk position of some kind? Hemsky is long removed from anything to so with current players outside of Sam.

I don't know how much better Knob is than Woody "X's & O's"-wise but one thing he seems to be better at is having a feel for the game. Just has a good idea of which players work well together
It wasn’t just woody it was Manson also, listen to latest spittin chicklets podcast, Ryan W reads out a 5 min text from Stauffer breaking down Woody and Knob

The Oilers have been limping to win after win with inconsistent and often shitty play. Barely scoring out there, aside from EN and lucky bounces. Scraping by against the bottom of the league. Some people are acting like we‘re perfect juggernauts because we came out on top. This team has a LOT to work on. The 2016-17 CBJ won more games in a row than this and look where they are now, and what do they have to show for it?

Our best players look injured out there. Other than Skinner. We have let a lot of bad habits creep in. We can’t even be comfortable against CHI they almost beat us last time. NSH and VGK are either going to be a reality check or we’re going to snap out of it and play a real 60 again. Hoping for the latter.

All star break is going to help a lot. Give the boys time to heal

Agree with everything except I don’t think Connor’s ability has changed, just his mentality. Same thing as Sid when he realized his team around him was good enough.
agree, and it is going to be one of those things where teams have been focusing on 97 so he uses his team mates more and now that they are scoring eventually you have to account for everyone on the ice. once that happens and mcdavid sees tiny bits of space hes going to murder them.

it exactly why the oilers PP struggled when 93 was out for a bit last year. when he is there you have to worry about him shooting with his elite wrist shot. you play that shot then 97 or 29 are open. its hard to handle

I guess we shouldn’t be too excited about the streak guys, some guy on CP said that we’re “smoke and mirrors, and only look good against bottom feeders”.

Did they already forget that we just beat them? They’re calling themselves bottom feeders.

His last season he played more than 15 games came in 15/16… I love Hemmer, but god no. We may as well call up Smytty too

Seems like you are doing exactly what you are complaining about.

Why you wining /worrying about fans - just enjoy the wins lol

Nice to see the boys turn it on. Have no issues with the "bend dont break" mandate in the first two periods and turning it on in the third against bad teams. Just cant get into bad habits.

#1 target should be some relief for Skinner - guy needs his rest and I hope we dont burn him out. Pickard should get start vs CHI

I wonder about this, I think Skinner might start out the stretch here, because there's a week off+ after the Preds game.

Okay Gen Z. Hemsky was a fan favorite to the older fans
lol. To older fans that saw alltime great Oilers clubs Hemsky was a footnote. He wouldn't even be on the 80's club. Hemsky was popular at the time here because the club at that time lacked superstars and Hemsky was like a lite dimestore version. Weight and Smyth, even Guerin, were better players. Cujo was the best.

My expectations are the same every year. And they're not unreasonable given the two players the Oilers have at the top of the roster.

Vegas is one of the best run organization in the league, the results (reality, not opinion) say so, that's not even worth debating. That's just a tired and frankly dumb argument at this point after they've won a Cup.
Can you seriously keep this shit out of the PGT? God, man, you can dominate the 5 other threads about the team like you usually do, leave the PGT's alone.

Only difference in the last 5 years is now you use Vegas as the gold standard, whereas it used to be the Leafs.
