Wondering how that linesman who has direct line of sight of the hit "missed it", too.
Yeah - that's the easiest 2-minute interference call ever. No idea why he missed it.
The fracture must have happened on impact with the ice.

Just watching that again, passes it, takes 2 strides, and gets nailed. How does every ref miss that?
Remember when everyone was all cheeky and lovey with the Canadiens fans?
Yeah, I hated that. For this exact reason.
It's really just insane. Then again, I lived there for a while (meaning MTL)... so I'm not surprised.

after reading the main boards, i now regret ever learning to read.
Interesting. On other boards people say he broke his jaw when he hit the ice face down, not as a direct result from the hit. Could very well be true.

People wonder why I don't hate Boston as a hockey team...
Far and away, Boston is much classier than the habs... hoyl ****. I cannot believe what I am reading
This is absolutely ****ing ridiculous.
**** Brandon Prust, that goon piece of ****.
If we make it to the next round (if), that should start in about 1.5 weeks. Step could be back by game 2 of that series in a 2 week recovery period situation.
Why should that matter?
He broke his jaw as a result from a late, blindsided hit.
Also this makes all the crying from the Habs fans absolutely hilarious.
Emelin trips Kreider into Price: Kreider is a goon.
Prust late-hits Step, breaking his jaw: The ice is a goon.
Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger 9m
Similarities between Kreider collision with Price and Prust on Stepan are based solely on loss of player. Completely different situations.
Ya think so, Dreger? **** the Canadian media.
Hes pretty much just disagreeing with what Therrien is saying.
Therrien, if you didnt know, is talking about how the Prust thing is just like Kreider did to Prust. Same thing, in his mind
If he ends up playing in Game 4, it will be amazing.
I know what I'll be saying.
Guess these are the "breaks" Therrien was talking about needing to win a series.
Yea, that's the only possible explanation considering you've already determined with complete certainty that the hit was solely to the chest.
I'm so glad we have you, the resident hockey fan, who clearly knows the difference between a 2 and 5 minute penalty and has deductive reasoning that sides with gross improbability rather than rationality.
Kudos.
