Guys, as a Coyotes fan I can say most of our board is not happy we had to give Deangelo up. I really hope we offered the 23rd overall pick before we offered him.

You have at least 2 good years of Step on that 4 year contract. Putting him in front of Dvorak will give Dvorak easier matchups. That's a great move for your team

The more I settle down, the more I am as well. If DeAngelo can be that right side guy for us, awesome. I don't know how to feel about having the 7th overall pick. This is what fun on draft night must feel like.

Possible. But I'm not sure this isn't a team that realized flipping picks for a "right now" guy isn't really the answer.

That's not to say they won't look to add depth. But I don't think they're flipping picks for guys.

If they wanted to do that, they would've already packaged Stepan and 21 for that guy.

do we offer the 21 OA plus a player/prospect for duchene ? would a return of holden and ryan graves be enough ?

what would we need to add to the 21OA to get back matt ? or is it the 7OA plus graves ?

is there a deal there ?

You got me there, 21 year old defenders are of course fully developed and should never be on anyone's team. He sure is as useless as Purinton.

It depends. They can tell you to knock it off, but they can't leverage your livelihood against it. For example, they couldn't send a guy to the AHL who is on a two-way contract because he refused to get off Twitter. They can't suspend a player for it either. It'd be an interesting court case to see if they can even bench him for it (though I would think the courts would say that as long as hes getting paid, they can).

I have to imagine SPCs have language in there about not making the team look bad in public, no?

I can tell you one thing for sure, DeAngelo will not be the only player on the opening night roster to have said a racist thing. It's just his was more public. Holding that against him for the rest of his life is extremely petty and closed minded. People deserve to be given a chance before you cast such judgement on them.

The fact that you are comparing him to someone who beat his wife is just asinine. It's not even a close comparison.
