His one goal and two points in four games is impressive, and I'm guessing we're pretending games one and two didn't exist.
Matthews has just as many points as you indicated, despite also being much better defensively.

And yeah, Mitch has been a world beater in these playoffs.

Listen, Willy was awesome last night, but again, let's not go overboard here. If he starts doing it consistently, we can talk.

It's always attack attack Willy, knock Willy every opportunity. He is a flawed player that can gain zone on command and scored 40. He is freaking awesome and you're just looking for something that hardly exists in the league. Find me this 360 degree player for 6.9 million guy, lets get a team of them. Get real.

This place is full of joke opinions, it's actually a comedy board, not Hockey.

I dont love it either, but i can understand being guarded there especially when it should be an even up call already

Who's attacking him? Saying he's not better than Matthews is an attack?

Agreed. I almost never complain about the refs, just not my thing. But I just can't wrap my head around Gudas getting away with this, what a disgrace. Keefe and Dubas and Shanahan should all be yelling about this today until they're all paying hundreds of thousands in fines.

He is better than Matthews this series. Matthews actually was fairly strong most of the TB series though and Marner and JT are a couple of faders.

He needs more goals yes..... Other than that he's been great and that's after carrying us against Tampa (and being the only one of the big four to show up when everything was on the line, and yes, I know JT scored the series clincher).

As far as generating offence, right? He's been pretty great defensively. If he cannot do both, he is not the $15 million dollar player he thinks he is.

I find on the offensive side he is eaten up so easily more often than not.

They showed a stat last night, not sure but I think it may even have been in the 1st period and I believe the numbers were like this:

Marner
Hits tonight - 4
Hits in the playoffs - 11

So 7 hits going in, less than 1 per game and all of a sudden, 4 hits early in the game. Interesting.

Gotta play the game with emotion, and more importantly passion. Without that, winning in the playoffs is almost impossible.

He was better yesterday, I don't agree series long. Willie was invisible games one and two.

Anyway, I'm not here to tear down Willie, just find the whole pretending he's suddenly the best player on the team a little silly.

The longer this series goes the more stupid shit that gudas and Bennett woll do .
Bennett has already been fined next step suspension.
If we make it game 7 one of those players won't be.

I thought he was our most dangerous player in game 2 especially in the third

Now just do it 3 more times. Huge boost for Woll’s confidence with that solid game. He needs to be getting the rest of the starts. You don’t take it from him now.
 
Marner hiding behind the ref from tkachuk while mccabe fighting for his life was actually so bad it was funny. He looked terrified being in that scrum and then looks like he asks for a penalty as the game is over. Glad he scored but the guy needs to understand he will never be playoff hockey player if he cant get over the fear of physically pushing back with the rest of his teammates. Its not fair to the rest of the team
