Will have to wait until the 31st to install since I will be playing through Steam, but I have the codes added now. Really pumped to play! Especially considering I already had a day off from work on that Friday and then having Labor Day off as well. A very nice weekend coming up.

The FOMO is so strong I may say "f*** it" and get the premium edition to play it early lol. At least you also get the first dlc with it so it's not like you're paying 30 extra just for five days of early access. It's funny how I went from "I'll get GP for a month to see how it is before committing" to "f*** it, take my money"

I was in your boat until I pulled the trigger on BG3 a couple weeks ago. Thank god that game drew me in enough to keep my busy until after launch. But I already warned my fiance that I am going to be a ghost for like a month when I finally do get it. Bethesda open-world games are all over my favorite games of all time. And I love space stuff. Skyrim in space is basically my idea of heaven. I don't even care about the silly bugs, as long as it delivers on the exploration/looting/base building elements I'll be happier than a pig in shit.

Eh, you can't play X/S games off the external card, which is a pain in the rear end. But yes, it's nice to have that extra space.

Yes you can.

The only storage upgrade that will let you store (and play) next-gen Xbox Series X|S games while also improving the overall performance of thousands of original titles across Original Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One

Got a Steam key for this with the processor I bought for my new PC, expect it to be a hellscape of bugs and crashes at launch like all Bethesda titles.

At least I now have a beast of a PC to run it

After beating Tears of the Kingdom I've let the hype bug bite me a bit. Please don't suck and make TES VI take 20 years to come out in vain.

I just pre-loaded it on my PC today. No point in buying it for me since when I built my PC last year one of the costs I factored in was 3 years of Xbox Gold Live to convert to Game Pass Ultimate (had a PS5, so getting to Xbox exclusives I hadn't touched also incentivized it). Hopefully, this is the start of good stream of games for the remaining 27 months of Gamepass.

Damn. I don't know much about games anymore, but I was really intrigued by this one, but it's not coming to PS5. Booooo!

Same. Fallout style in space is pretty much an exact game I’d love so I’m pretty disappointed. Might have to pickup an Xbox maybe in a year or so if the hype is real.

But for now I’m going to be a Baldurs gate guy. Haven’t played a turn based game in forever though.

This is about the most anyone has been able to say about the game.

Sounds good to me. I enjoy Oblivion more than Skyrim except for Skyrim’s map and vistas. Although what makes Oblivion charming is hard to replicate - I don’t think they did it totally on purpose.

I did skip through a lot of that stuff. I don’t need to read that, just care about the game.
I am super curious about the lore and story - they're being extremely hush about most of that, and I hope it's not because it's incoherent or subpar. With the Elder Scrolls most of the writers and designers who made that world special no longer work for BGS (although they still have Kuhlmann) like Ted Peterson, Michael Kirkbride, Ken Rolston etc. With Fallout they already had a world made to play around with (and imo they messed it up/didn't understand it.) Here they have something they made completely from scratch.

I read somewhere that the first big city you get to has a museum that will give out a good chunk of lore, which I think is a cool way to go about it instead of finding history books randomly.
