It's still a team sport, he didn't get his team to the finish line. Don't care how good he was, give it to one of the winners, somebody deserved it.

Use that same logic for the Hart Trophy. Can it only be a trophy given to the President's Trophy winning team because they were the best during the regular season?

Come on, now. The guy had 1 less point than Barkov and Tkachuk COMBINED and broke a Wayne Gretzky record nobody ever thought would be broken.

He did all he could tonight, too. Yeah, held off the scoresheet by a great Panthers defensive performance but that doesn't take away from his playoff run.

He is the rightful winner.

That dent has been an ongoing curse on this team, the only explanation for Landeskog immediately breaking, Nuke becoming what he is, and the ongoing choke job from to top guys in the playoffs
