Panthers player have shown some real guts btw. After being toyed with the last three games, outshot and outscored heavily they brought a perfect defense for the best possible time. They killed McDavid and Draisaitl, who was very poor, and the whole Oilers offense. Kudos to them

The truth is Bob lost the Conn Smythe by sucking in games 4-5-6. Barkov had virtually 0 offense in the whole playoffs so it's hard to give it to him. Basically no one on the Panthers really stood out.

It was kind of a perfect storm to give it to McDavid who broke a Gretzky record.
