Good luck to the "average" fan getting a seat in Vegas for the SCF. And, yeah, if you are wondering, the sky-high ticket prices are primarily caused by the casinos buying up tickets to comp their suckers high rollers who may or may not have the slightest interest in hockey but are going to the SCF because ..... well, because. BTW, they'll also be wearing expensive Knights jerseys, which the casinos will also comp them. I mean, if a guy is going to drop $100,000 or more at the tables, he's going to at least get club seats and jerseys for himself and wifey (even if they are old stock jerseys that say "Fleury" since he probably doesn't know the difference anyway).

I tried to get Vegas tickets and was in the queue 45 mins before they went on sale, but when my turn came up, there was nothing left. Of course there are scalper tickets available but I'm not willing to pay that much. I do see that Florida has lots of tickets left, perhaps because they seem to have priced them higher than Vegas tickets.

Please change the thread title. It is not the "Finals". It is the "Stanley Cup Final".

We all call the Western Conference Final just that. The combination of the WCF and ECF are the Conference Finals. As in there are two of them.

There is only one series remaining. One series to decide the Stanley Cup winner.
That series is the Stanley Cup Final.

I don't know why so many people are picking Florida. I guess it's the narrative?

The main reason why VGK's goalie numbers were so okay over the regular season is the same key for them to win this series: they played more 5 v 5 than anyone else. Few PPOA means fewer % SOG when PKing, which means a higher overall SV%.

Florida's strategy has got to be the opposite - goad VGK into a special teams battle. That's a high-risk high-reward strategy.

The refs play a huge role for the Florida strategy. Florida is going to play on the edge. If the refs allow them to cross the line, and force Vegas to respond instead of calling deserved penalties, it's going to be a long, bloody tossup of a series. I hope that doesn't happen, but I'm resigned to the fact that there's a good chance it will happen.

Can’t wait for this one to start. I believe the Panthers have a lot of skill and deserve to be here and will be a tough battle for the Knights. Obviously im pulling for the home team, but i am very happy we have a new cup winner this year regardless of the result

If it means Matthew Tkachuk has to win a Cup for Vegas to lose, sign me up all day long.

I do it often enough, heck usually I whip out the opposite days GDTs in November on an Eastern Road Trip when the team decides to stay home
Try 30 years of miserable failure, you learn to never tempt fate.

We are trying to exorcise many demons from our past, these are not your regular Panthers, it's different this time, don't know why but I have full faith.

Any reason why the NHL is now starting later than the NBA? I know that 7 to 9 years ago the NHL would have been done like 1-2 weeks earlier than the NBA yet the NBA is now starting earlier than the NHL.

Geez the cup winners are gonna report to training camp still drunk if this series goes the distance.
Not the Vegas players, who gave up drinking alcohol other than during their hockey games because they found it was hurting their golf games. By the time training camp rolls around, they'll have been completely dry for a couple of months.

These Knights are total beasts in terms of nutrition and training to keep their golf games at their absolute peaks. It's only at hockey games where they take it easy and slap back a few.
