Amazing how everyone was happy after the Montreal disaster, but panicking after this one, all because the winning goaltender stole both games.

You can't place too much weight on a 60 minute sample of goal events.
check the posts, no one was happy with the Montreal win, that game was won by Hank, we got out shot and outchanced thanks to AV's hot new D pairing. again, can only score in the PP.

5v5 is shit. Smith and ADA ore not injured, they should be playing without question. also, can't wait for fast to get back and Carey back to AHL and Vesey can drop down to his spot.

In Henke's defense, that doesn't happen without Kampfer turning the puck over on the PK.
Every goalie I have ever known would be pissed at themselves on that goal. No goal should ever go in off a shot from behind the goal line. Lundy needs to hug that post and not lean over on that play. He definitely blew that goal but he did have some very good saves later on in the game.

This could get out of hand very quickly. Hayes and Vesey look like crap. Grabner looks like his shooting % is going to regress to the norm. There were only 6 forwards and 3 Dmen I had confidence in in the last five minutes. Kampfer should never be more than an emergency fill-in for multiple injuries.

@Megustaelhockey "Are the Rangers the only team in the league with three coaches behind the bench with head coaching experience? "

Yes but AV is the one pulling the strings..

Agreed on the result being a bad indicator of the actual performance.

I think a lot of people, myself included, are more upset by how obvious the negative on-ice impact of AV's horrible lineup decisions was today

Skjei needs to not have a godawful turnover.

Hank needs to not let his back be exposed so deflections like that can happen.

Someone needs to win a friggin' faceoff in an empty net situation.

Someone other than Zibanejad needs to score our goals.

Holden-Kampfer can go back to the pressbox where it belongs.

Wasn't a terrible game though...

I feel like I’m watching the 2002 Florida Panthers again — with both Bure brothers, Viktor Kozlov, Luongo, Svehla, Ozolinsh ... and a horrible season. Except our team doesn’t consist of otherwise no-name minor leaguers. We have the talent to make something of this season. The coaching personnel isn’t helping.

Oh I agree. Very worried about this coach.

But the roster is good. McDonagh has been fantastic and I really think this defense will come into its own.

I still think we'll make the playoffs. We'll make it to 2nd round.. we need to obtain someone like athornton like i said earlier during the offseason.

We need that offense...

But I'm tired of being mediocre. AV has been handed 2 very good teams. That's skewing his stats because he ain't all that.

Start hitting the opposing D and wearing them down.
Kreider is in mid season form already..
