Just waiting for the last minute London Knights acquisition :
luchanko ? musty ? pinelli ? misa ?

I don't know what the future market for OA forwards is going to be, but if this deadline is any indication, I would very much consider moving one of Clouthier or Mignossa for a solid return this deadline as opposed to hoping they have any real value next season.
Won't need to move them next year. Going to be a go for it year next year softly. Not huge contenders and big buyers at the deadline but will maybe look like Erie this year who didnt do anything and decided to run with what they got. Mignosa and Cloutier pretty dead set on being OAs next year and a 3rd OA will be needed to be picked up in the offseason most likely a Defenseman.

A go for it year when your 19 year old forwards are Hilton, Vader and Brown doesn’t sound like a great option to me. Just my opinion.

True that is definitely a weakness but they do have a solid 07 group. Will be better than their ages would indicate. I think Miller in net will be a huge factor. I would expect next year's team to finish better than this years.

If it's a go for it year next year. We better hope telegaar comes here or we trade for george lol. We aren't winning anything will Miller as our starter imo

I don't think next year is anything close to a go for it year. We will not have assets to add players for 2 separate runs and a core of 18 year olds isn't a realistic contender. I anticipate we make the playoffs next year but that's about as high as I'd set the bar. It will be nice to see what the kids can do down the stretch and which vets sets the tone.

Just watching the Hounds on Rogers TV and I am wondering why Mark Matier is no longer the colour commentator. Has anyone heard the reason?

If you would have told me a former Hound would be named captain of his OHL team today, Landon Hookey would not have been my first, second, or third guess.

Very happy for him. Too bad it didn't work out for him in the Soo, but glad he is finding success in Owen Sound.

A large number of hugely impactful calls tonight, every single one in Kingston's favour. Hard to comment on the validity of them, being at the game, but I didn't think that was worthy of a penalty shot. The net was also off before the puck went in on the second goal, but I'm not sure how that works with him being pushed.

Should be obvious as to why Lalonde is, statistically, one of the league's worst goaltenders. Let's sign a youngster and give them a chance.

First I was excited about trade deadline to see if we made the right moves.

Now I’m excited about the end of the season to see if the Soo extends a contract or not..

These two things to me are actions that speak louder than words. The difference between “is this team serious or are we just status quo as per usual?”

That bench NEEDS a shake up.

they’re gonna burn this bridge

Charlie Schenkel has had a very poor start with Kingston. The other night he allowed 4 goals playing the Hounds and was pulled. This afternoon in Sudbury he has allowed 5 goals and has been pulled again. Poor Charlie!

Kingston gave up way too much for him.

He’s not very good.

He has looked lost and very slow. It was 5 goals he let in the Soo game - so 10 goals in 3.5 periods

Raftis needs to find some defensemen with some size and grit.
McConnel-Barker, Holub, Gillen, just don't have the size and grit
to play defense in the OHL. Holub & Gillen being younger maybe will
get a little heavier and tougher to play against but McConnel - Barker
is what you see is what you will get.

Dean hasn't gone deep into the playoffs but I'm more inclined to believe that's the result of the teams in front of him, not his coaching.

I can only speak for myself but the roster constructed has met the expectations I had every season so I have a tough time blaming the coach for that. And I'd also ask who's available that's an upgrade?

couple off the top of my head are Bannister and Boughner.

I don't know how i feel about Dean. we've had some pretty good teams that he's been in charge of so it's hard to see how good of a coach he is. some of those teams could have coached themselves. they were fairly talented. but now that we are a young team, we've reverted to dump and chase and trap defense so i'm a little bothered about that one lol.

i did like Bannister though and would love for him to come back if they did can Dean.

How i see coaching. Yes most good coaches need good players.
With regards to the OHL , if a player looks promising as a 16 or 17 year old,
how will they be at 18 & 19 when most good ohl teams plan on making a run.
so for example Travis Hayes, looked real promising in his rookie year last season,
with Dean as coach has Hayes improved taken a step this season ? Will he even be better next season
as being older and is expected to raise his game or has he met his ceiling. That's what Lukenda, Raftis
have to decide. Will players like Charron, Andrew, Muxlow, both Brady Smth boys. improve under
Coach Dean's watch or not. If yes you keep Dean if No you move on to someone else.
