Any realistic landing spots for Allard left?

Charlie to Kingston seems like the only option if they can figure out Lalonde.

I’m not sure what else they’ll do to be honest.

You’re going to be dissapointed a second time this trade deadline if you think that’s what Allard is going to return.

Gibson, as the greatest single asset available according to one, didn't get much more or any than Allen, Smith at his position and probly less than some of the Fs moved. Then the pivot lol. Personal attacks n excuses as to why.
Funny to follow really. Guy is entertaining.

Oshawa may want to upgrade still maybe? Brantford? Kingston if they can find a non OA goalie? Thats all I can really think of for OA's. If there are teams still looking to buy, I'd consider moving one of Miggy or Clouthier for the right price.

Personally, I'd be quite content with 2 high picks for Allard if we can find him a home.

If the deadline passes and all of Allard, Schenkel, Mignosa, Clouthier, Carlisle are all still hounds then Fischhaber can explain to us why our fears of Raftis blowing the deadline were invalid. :naughty:
Standing pat, or a soft sell were what many of us feared. Like I said earlier, I'll keep my pitchfork in the closet until the deadline passes, and still have faith that he will come through.

But that would be his second monumental failure in the past year and my patience with his management philosophy is nearly exhausted.

If Flint is buying as suggested….and I am NOT a fan of that….but if they are I think it would be wise to try and acquire Allard to replace Konyen as an OA. Flint needs help down the middle more than on the wings and I think Allard is clearly superior to Konyen.

I'm not really expecting it per se, but a similar or better player should theoretically net a similar return. He would be a good fit in Flint. He causes so many turnovers with his excellent positioning and active stick.

I wonder if Hookey goes with McCue with Konyen part of the return. McCue and Hookey have had a lot of success playing together this season. Hookey has been great this year.

It's not really fair to compare a defenseman trade, in a market where very few top defensemen are available, to a forward. imo it's a fairer comparison to the Gibson trade even though Gibby wasn't an OA. both players are strong defenders who will not be back next year.

It's not just a question of your subjective views on who is a "better" player, it's a question of the market in general, how many teams are interested, how many comparable options exist etc.

I would 100% pay more for konnor smith than allard. Love allard but forwards are a dime a dozen. Regardless of whether they wore a maple leaf last year. Big, mean defencemen with memorial cup experience are hard to come by. Wish we would have had him last year.

Anyone know the time the trade deadlines actually end? ie. Thursday for OAs and Friday the 10th for all others?

12 pm I believe. Like a lot of others are saying, I am scared too. Hopefully we find a trade partner for at least Allard.. I would deal him for almost anything at this point imo. He just doesn’t make much sense to keep around.

Brady Smith will be on a line with Brady Smith tonight...How would you like to be the play by play guy? I just want to know what's on the back of the jerseys:
Smith and Smith
B. Smith and B. Smith
Brady Smith and Brady Smith
B. Smith and Smith
Brady Smith and Smith
????
Don't keep me guessing.

I thought Miller was coming around. Two goals right along the ice tonight.. Come on. It could easily be 1-1
