despite a strong few games at the start of the year, i'm still of the belief we require offense at the forward position to be a credible threat. a jack beck clone would be nice. he drives the play when he is on the ice in a way i've been hoping BMB would. karki and beck have been huge additions to a roster that looked thin at offense this summer.

Def need someone to solidify that top line with Beck and BMB so ideally a winger of sorts

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but what is the Martin injury and when is he expected back?
Injured himself in a knee-on-knee collision in the first game of the season against Flint...was expected to be out 4-6 weeks at that time so we're either hopefully going to see him back MAYBE next week or he'll be out up to another 3 weeks at this point

I'm really impressed with Karki, reminds me of D'Angelo the way he played made it seem like we had 4 forwards on the ice

Greentree is 17 , it would cost you an arm and a leg and 2 other legs to pull him out of Windsor. He is their best player.
It’s ridiculous to think a rebuilding team would trade away their best 17yo player anyway. Maybe Bowler would listen if they wanted to talk about involving Martin but other than that? Zero chance.

What other choice does Windsor have to recoup all those picks they lost last season? Martin and Hayes are off the table in any trade discussion...

Looks like Kostov out, Evans playing.

For me it's Gavin Hayes. Everyone talks about Owen Beck, but I'd rather see us add Gavin Hayes down the line if we add. I think his size over Beck can't be ignored, he had more points than Beck, and the relationship with Travis. I'd rather the size of Hayes over Beck too and Hayes had more points than Beck last year on a Flint team. I also think it could cost us a lot more... if maybe Gavin decided he wanted to come to SSM to play with his brother.

They just can't seem to find a trade partner eh? Lol
Any team that wants to win a championship needs an Owen Beck on their team. He plays a 200 foot game and is the best face off player in the OHL. He also the experience of winning an OHL Championship and playing in the Memorial Cup and winning a gold medal at the World Juniors and maybe another this year. Successful teams need players goal scorers like Gavin and Avery Hayes, Jack Beck and Brennan Othmann but they also need players like Chase Stillman, Jonathan Melee and Owen Beck to truly be a contender.

Was surprised with how many red jerseys there were in the stands, must have been alot of family at this game...

My Morgan Frost jersey was there. Had some family in attendance, they were put together by the front office I believe. Evans family was also in attendance.

What if they have their own Owen Beck but he doesn't get any recognition he deserves because he had a Injury that kept him out of an entire season? Owen Allard. I watched that game, I watched Allard win draws clean on Beck.

I think Allard is very underrated in this league but is one of the best 200 foot players in the league, he may very well be one of the fastest skaters in the league, his faceoff % is increasing.

I'm not sure the team that blows their load on Beck IS the team that will win it all. Just saying.

I struggle to see the difference between a Brennan Othmann and a Chase Stillman, I also struggle to take it seriously when Jack Beck is literally out-pointing every player on that list that's still in the OHL.

As we continue to play the league will be more aware of what we have to offer.

I agree with the Allard comment, probably one of the most underrated players in the league.

This whole Owen Beck thing could turn into another Shane Wright debacle for whoever trades for him...thus far I am not convinced he is a game changer this season despite his resume

Point totals of one playing for SSM compared to one playing for the Petes under coach Wilson is not in any way useful to gauge players abilities.
Othman scored 50 for Flint at 18. See the point total drops for Othman, Beck, Hayes, White after traded to the Petes; then, see the increases for Lardis and Panwar after traded by the Petes.
O. Beck will be playing NHL games at 20. J.Beck could not get an AHL contract at 20.

Today is a big test. We outplayed Ottawa badly in terms of possession, but we need to show that we can make adjustments when it comes to reducing defensive miscues and capitalizing on scoring chances.
