One forward and one OA upgrade is 2 moves. What is the third? We don't really need a defenseman by any means, especially not a costly addition.Raftis telling everyone nothing is imminent tells me he is after a world junior player. Unlikely a defenseman IMO. If he lands a WJC forward, is he also going to bring in an OA upgrade? I have my doubts. Again, that article indicates he's quick to say "We don't have a ton of extra picks". Doesn't sound like someone ready to make 3 big moves....
My preference would be a forward and a defenseman before a second forward is considered. I do not trust any of our '06s to play 2nd pairing playoff minutes in the event of an injury. IMO.

Nope. This isn't about his family. It's about us soo fans. Haha kidding.don’t want to part with Virgilio either but if he ends up in Peterborough the positive from it is he is closer to home and allows family to take in his journey
( I do want to part with V for the right player lol )
So no one has made any moves. I don't know that it's fair infer that a GM is waiting on a big deal when not a single trade has been made. That statement might be more accurate in a few days. This article from the 27th said the trade freeze was lifted.

I'm hesitant to infer anything from a lack of moves like others have, considering the trade freeze is still in effect (or no one has made any deals).
Raftis is on the record saying nothing will happen soon. Has nothing to do with what other gms are or are not doing. So no one has made any moves. All I'm saying is that it doesn't appear like anything is happening soon with any teams, considering we've gone 3 full days without a trade.Raftis is on the record saying nothing will happen soon. Has nothing to do with what other gms are or are not doing.
They are waiting for Jan 1st when you can trade 1st round picks from this year .
He's still the 14th best starter in terms of SV% on a pretty tight defensive team, so that's average at best. Let's hope the recent stretch of slightly better play can continue. He's at a .908 SV% for the last 10, which is a lot better. It's just to small of a sample for me to be convinced. What we have seen is more consistency, with between 2 and 4 GA in each of those 10. That's what this team needs. How about Charlie Schenkel? Proud of him for proving me wrong and turning himself into one of the better goalies in the league

I edited my post and I wasn't accusing you of cherry picking anything. I was just preemptively defending myself haha.I didn’t cherry pick anything. I went Quant Hockey and clicked OHL Goalies 23/24 where he’s ranked 8th then I clicked OHL.com and went to stats then goalies, where’s he’s actually ranked 6th overall amongst OHL goalies

Games played is hardly an indicator of good goaltending if that's what you are using.
