Love the Hayes trade, but man this team misses sirrizotti.

I rarely notice frasca each game. I know nothing can be done now, but this team needs to find a spark.

Hounds not out of this by any means, but Saginaw carrying the play a little bit in the second. Need to dig deep and find another gear in the third. They have it, just have to find it.

It would have been easy to give up after outplaying Saginaw for 30 minutes on the road and still being down 2-0, thanks to their friends in stripes. You could see the frustration in their faces.

That isn't what happened though. We took our game to another level and absolutely dominated in the second half. This was a character win and a statement win.

Gavin Hayes was absolutely the right pickup at the deadline over Owen Beck (who was really poor) and the Greyhounds remain the clear top dog in West Division. Enjoy that for however long it lasts.

Great character win. Far from perfect but Saginaw’s a really good team, can’t expect a perfect game. Also, the trade off for little BMB for Beck was huge at the start of the 3rd and for that Karki goal. I wouldn’t mind some more of that from the young guns. Get under their skin and take them down with you, opens up the ice for the veterans.

hounds made a good comeback. Not taking anything away from there victory,
however i do question Dean's decision with 1:41 left in the game and hounds
leading 4-3 and on the powerplay, not putting out 2 defensemen out there,
playing with 4 forwards and 1 defensemen. They did manage another power play
goal with 43 seconds remaining but don't think it was a smart move to have 4
forwards out with the lead with less then 2 minutes to play.

Great game for the Hounds. Obviously, important win. But even more so it was to prove to themselves that they can finish a game like that, even against tough competition when you aren't getting the bounces or the calls.

Fantastic.

Great game by Brady Martin. Playing physical, protecting the puck, looking to make plays. Not cheating the game. Love it.

Also, let's show some love to Karki. Another goal from his office. Highest shooting % amongst all defensemen this season, and it's not even close TBH.

Good to have the captain back and playing his game. Looking more and more like his old self.

Great come from behind victory. In the first intermission, BMB stands up in the dressing room, looks at D'Intino in a way that only Londoners understand, and says "we've got this!" Next period: The captain scores, injects life into the team... with that goal announcing the start of the comeback. D'Intino, not to be outdone, and realizing the importance of this game, finds the back of the net. When the pressure is on these two stars, groomed in Canada’s hockey capital, get the job done.
And, why no discussion of the younger BMB who is destined for a breakout season in 2024-25? Plays with poise for a rookie. If you're thinking that this is just some sort of shameless plug for the hockey talent that oozes from the Forest City (and area) , then yes, of course it is.
Thornton, Carter, McCann, Gajewski, BMB (X2). May you read this with a sense of humour. And perhaps a thank you.

still reeling over that goal by gavin hayes. that's the kind of elite hands we haven't had in the soo in a few years. it felt like i was watching a goal on xbox. looking forward to seeing what else he pulls out of his hat down the stretch.

Sault seems to have Saginaw number..

so far the road team has won all 6 games. we'll see if that continues next time saggy heads north.

Interesting stat; amongst the top 4 teams in the Western Conference, Greyhounds are the only team that has won a game in a shootout.

Record in SO games:
London 0-3 (Lost to Soo, Peterborough, Erie)
Kitchener 0-0
Soo 2-1 (Beat London, Saginaw, Lost to Guelph)
Saginaw 0-1 (Lost to Soo)

I guess we are better at the coin flip?
