Definitely not the Hounds best game. Sarnia came into to town and never gave up. They were outplayed significantly in the 1st period but only down 1 goal. Their goalie kept them in the game, amd these young kids just didn't give up. I think the Sting deserved a point. But I'll gladly take 2 points for our Hounds and keep up with Saginaw.

Hounds looked like they had their eye on Wednesday's game

Tough to get to a home game Wednesday night, never mind a game in Saginaw.

Very important game for the Hounds. Saginaw (still with a game in hand) plays 3 games this week to the Greyhounds 2. If the Hounds lose Wednesday, they are likely chasing Saginaw the rest of the season for first. If the Hounds win Wednesday, the teams are in a virtual tie with 20 games left.

Saginaw is surprisingly bottom third in attendance and only sells ~60% capacity so it probably wouldn't be too difficult to get a ticket. Maybe this is a premium game though.

Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: 2852 per. Friday, Saturday: 3760. Friday Saturday since the New Year: 4354.

It's the same every year. Saginaw's crowd is alot of families or older fans. They never draw well on weekdays and sundays. Weekends before the New Year are better but you deal with high school/college football. Weekends after the New Year are regularly well attended. Going to guess Erie/Flint see a similar trend.

Football is definitely a big factor, you're right. Hard to compete with that.

Game is on TSN+ tomorrow night

I'm guessing the comment meant, it's tough enough to attend a local game on a Wed night let alone one that's 5hrs away. There will likely only be like 1500 in attendance with it being a school night and very few away fans. The only time we draw decent on a weekday is if we're playing Flint because I believe the Flint fans get the Saginaw tickets in their plans so a lot of people make the short trip up.

some locals were wondering why the banner was removed...

i think trevor puts that decision into perspective quite nicely. and for those that don't think that incident should overshadow the rest of beezers hounds career, you're just plain wrong. he's not the victim but the fact he's never apologized to Daley suggests he thinks he is.

I WAS a huge fan of his during his entire pro career. So dissapointed. There’s no excuse there John. Sorry.

TSN has the Hounds / Spirit game tomorrow (Wednesday)?
Cause my TV guide doesn't show that.

Also noticed my Shaw/Rogers channel does not show the Hound games on the TV guide anymore when I know for a fact it's televised. Maybe a glitch?

The whole thing is a joke. The guy made one mistake in his life, and the woke police are going to climb all over him. Next, to make amends, they will rename the arena the Trevor Daley Arena.

There is a limit to things.

One question did the number get retired before or after he said what he said.

And why did they wait so long?

Yeah we don’t have to be nice to racists. They took so long because hockey has a culture problem in MANY ways.

Trevor Daley has handled this whole situation like a pro and rightfully, hasn't dragged the team into this. The organization made this decision out of respect for him and not as some sort of show. The whole thing was done behind the scenes.

garbage take.

Staying out of the box is so important since we're consistently much better than Saginaw 5-5 in every game we've played.

We didn't give up an even strength shot for the first 10 minutes, but special teams hurt us. They have to find a way to avoid penalties.
