What a mess with the Ohtani fiasco. Imagine that kind of circus here? No, thank you. Maybe not signing him was a blessing in disguise? Who knows.
The league is simply going to sweep it under the rug and not allow it to get the air to breathe it should. Any other player would be facing serious consequences. But no way Manfred allows the face of the league who is on their premier team to be given any punishment.

More of a minor league opponent, but you couldn't have asked for much more out of White today.

Halladay too. Did he not start hot? Then we know what happened after

I’m just referencing guys from the last few years, and not specifically those that got optioned or sent down. Historically there was Halladay, Lee, Greinke (anxiety), Porcello, Arrieta, I’m sure there’s plenty of other similar examples.

Even Ubaldo managed to capture some lightning after dealing with a huge drop in velocity and continued inconsistent control. But again, that was at the MLB level. I think we see that more often because teams typically don’t have the luxury of sending them down or calling someone else up to take their spot. With a top of the rotation pitcher you want them to figure it out and expect the next start to be the one that gets it done. The Jays just can’t afford that and it shouldn’t be alarming to anybody. I don’t doubt that he’ll be back up eventually.

That's cool, amigo. I was just referencing an in house example. But, yea you're right. Manoah will be back up eventually. We all hope it will be a Doc Halladay type of story.

@Eyedea This you???? ;);););)

Imagine that it comes out he did actually gamble and bet on games though????:oops::oops::oops:

Apparently the interpreter said he only bet on other sports, not on baseball. But on the other hand the guy has changed his story about other facts at least once and someone around the Ohtani camp went from "he gave the guy money to help cover his debts because they're friends" to "he had no idea what was going on and got scammed by the guy" so who even knows what's true anymore.
