That's not particularly the point to me.

Right now, the Leafs have much bigger things to think about than Kyle Dubas' future. Why should any of us care?

Dubas is not part of the team anymore and losing sleep over what this freaking guy does in his future career smacks of insecurity.

Most people can multi-task, not really a big deal.

I guess if you don't like reading you can skip the article. But some may find it interesting.

I don't care where he ends up outside of what I'd like it to be in the West.

Just find it odd someone would be upset about creating an article about something that people may find interesting, it "smacks of insecurity" some might say.

Who worries where a sub par GM ends up?

This may be hard to understand and takes some critical thinking.

Was he a sub par GM in the regular season?

Which teams do we play the most?

Who are we fighting with for playoff spots?

I'll let you try to work this one out, but let me know if you need help.

True, that's not what i was intending to imply.

I love to read, get over yourself.

I'm not upset, didn't intend to imply otherwise.

I know you say that sarcastically, but yeah, we probably will, just like we did for the two decades it didn't happen. But Shanahan's flip flop fail is going to cost us a lot more than that.
Lol

Life will move on, team will continue to build.

Dubas failed to surpass Quinn as our best GM since the late 90s despite the core he inherited

You tried living through dubas vicariously, and now that he is gone you've lost it

Yes, life will move on. Nobody said otherwise. The team will certainly try to continue building, and hopefully Shanahan pulls something out of this mess he's made, but we're in a worse situation than we were a week ago, and chances are extremely high that we're moving to a worse GM at an important moment, and that's sad for Leaf fans.

Lol. People aren't "living through Dubas vicariously" just because they recognize that he's a quality GM, and the only thing I've lost is a lot of respect for Shanahan, and excitement for our future cup potential.

Dubas and Shanny f***ed up if true

Ego issues with both

Dubas should have taken the 4M by 4-5 years

If the team regresses both those f***ers still made their money and got fame despite 5 failed years

The team and fan will suffer if the next GM sucks due to their egos.

Dubas though was only a middle tier GM when your not biased. He was improving after a disastrous first 2.5 years.

We can likely find a similar quality GM, just have a timeline to do so now with 34 and 88 contracts running out in a year and NMC coming in for 34 and 16

Guess Shanny did not think signing Kyle was as critical a move as you claimed. No surprise.

The regular season performance under Dubas was nothing spectacular.

They certainly weren’t running away with division titles - - much less running away with the Presidents Trophy.

Given the wealth of young talent this team has had for the past five years, they’ve been closer to UNDERACHIEVING in the regular season rather than overachieving.

As for the games that matter - - the playoffs- - Dubas and his buddy Keefe have been a total laughingstock.

The best in Leafs' history is nothing spectacular

Stopped reading there as I assume it doesn't get better.

Not sure chances are high we move to a worse GM, Dubas failed pretty hard. Odds are things will only get better

the man took a sideways team sideways

Its not like he is a proven rebuild artist .I wanna see him work for a team that is losing money
U think MSLE board was tough .?
Dubas gave very generous contracts with those July 1st bonuses already invested before most of the league gets its first paychecks
That will be over in most markets

that's only comparable back to 2000 or so. .560 is the new .500.
Further to that, the Leafs were already the most talented they’ve been in 20 years when Dubas was promoted. I would think a good number of those wins were going to happen regardless of who the GM. It was just a good circumstance.

If he took over Arizona tomorrow, he wouldn’t be as bad a GM as his winning percentage there would indicate there over 5 years either.

Indeed, that makes it tougher to judge just how good he was, because he took over a 105 point team that we had every reason to believe would contine to improve.

How could those 3 young players by maturation alone and new point totals not account for slight regular season increase.

Shanny s’ flip flop was directly brought on by Dubas. I’m. It a Shanny fan by any stretch but what was he supposed to do when Dubas tells the world that he is not sure he still wants to be the Leafs GM then slides in a big increase in money and power.
How is ever supposed to trust him after that
