10 / 15 years ago, I would have laughed in your face if you told me that Spezza would be one of my favorite Leafs. Really excited he's back, should've been a 2 year deal.
Wonder if this means we are going 7 - 3 in the expansion draft now to protect Spezza and Kerfoot.

You're gonna care about the regular season when it's mid February and they're in a 3 way battle for the 2nd WC spot.

My only worry is if Spezza could handle those minutes. He's already taking back to backs off during the regular season. In spurts I could see that line work.

Yeah, it’s a valid concern. So long as you keep a winger as an extra, it shouldn’t be an issue.
There’ll be some mixing and matching along the way, too.

He was one of my favorite players when I was younger. I was stoked when he decided to sign with Toronto several years ago. Just like I knew he would be, plays with tons of passion and heart. He's not just a veteran that brings leadership, he can still bring some much needed secondary offense. For league minimum and he had 30 poins in 56 games last season? Damn, that's a steal.

He was even quoted as saying he wish he could take even less money to help the team out. Damn, that's awesome. Love Spezza.
