There was a real possibility that Stenberg was going 4 OA until SJ traded Eklund today. They're definitely planning to take him at 2 now.

If we manage to nab 4 OA I think we're picking Bjorck or Malhotra, whichever is available. Then Rudolph at 8 OA would make for a splendid day.

If we nab 4OA, we have probably given up 8.

Ullmark got kastelic and 25 overall - if Jarmo can prove out UPL's trade value I'd assume he could use it to chisel down Chevy's ask a bit (although I really have no idea how trades develop or are negotiated by GMs)

He shat the bed in the playoffs. Sabres have to pass Levi through waivers, might be their guy again.

I am not underestimating the way this Sabres management can tank a franchise, and personally I am no Sabres fan. The Hasek/Peca era especially.

But also the solace that as long as the Jets Stanley Cup drought is, Toronto, Buffalo and Vancouver have us beat. Technically Minnesota too.

And with the golden age of Southern hockey not likely to change.

That isn't much more than trading the rights to a guy who is going to be a UFA in a week. IIRC it typically returns something like a 3rd rd pick.

Surely after seeing the state of Stan and Schenn he realized he got bent over and doesn't wish to get penetrated again.

Rosen had 3 goals and no helpers in 21 games,the second is low odds to be anything, Bryson was a disaster,schenn and stanley are free agents,personally I may be the only one that doesn't think this trade is such a big win for Chevy,and rosens game didn't leave me with an optimistic feeling,others viewed his game differently than me,also the Jets are now of in need a hitter with lose gloves.

Yeh I know BPA and all that but I wouldn't wanna pass on the hometown kid, if it was between him and Reid for example I would take Carels every time, I am not risking another American especially over the hometown boy who is not far off him even despite LD vs RD.

Buffalo is not in a great place.

Their top C is Norris, Thompson is better as a winger. Norris is made of glass. Kulich injury was serious. Ostlund might end up a winger.

As is without Tuch their top 9 is

Kulich, Ostlund and Helenius are all still waivers exempt so it"s possible the weakest of the 3 starts in Rochester until Norris gets hurt.

No, you're right... Just can Stan and Schenn predictably sucked there, doesn't mean we got anything that moves the needle for them. Maybe that late 2nd lottery ticket becomes something.

I thought Rosen was fine, sure he didn't produce but look he spent most of his time playing with and he was still adapting to a different team. The kid just turned 23, let us give him some time, I would still take him over keeping Stan for example any day of the week and we got a pick on top of it.
