So my brethren completely surprised me with a PS5. I was waiting for the slim version or something similar. What are the absolute must-haves currently? Dead Space was the one I was thinking of getting.

Also, I am a bit clueless about the backwards capability, would all my PS4 games play on the PS5?

Dead Space was very good as was Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok

I believe all of the PS4 games should work, and some will upgrade to the PS5 versions for free

Knew this would happen. Mascot platformers are not a PC thing. They just wont sell. Sackboy bombed even worse (which I actually loved that game too)

It was an impossible task to take a game (R&C) that was published to show off the power of the PS5 to PC.

Miles Morales is a a bit shorter of a story that basically functions to introduce the new character with different mechanics, whereas from what I know Spiderman 2 is the full blown sequel to the first game. Maybe it makes sense to think of Miles Morales as kind of like a 1.5? I'm rusty on both games, but I don't remember Miles Morales being terribly short, just a bit shorter than most big AAA games.

Thanks lads!

Another question, is Dying Light 2 worth it? Seems it got really poor reviews when it was launched, but it also seems that Techland put a ton of effort to fix it and look like the game we saw in the trailer. What are your lot thoughts here?

Cyberpunk is great on PS5/Series now. Final Fantasy 16 is top notch also.
I can't find a Cyberpunk PS5 edition, do I buy the PS4 one and upgrade to the PS5?

I had no issues with Dying Light 2 that I can recall, I thought it was a pretty good game and worth a shot, even moreso if it is going on a discount at this point

There is definitely a PS5 version of Cyberpunk
I cannot find it anywhere, it is not on Amazon, Gamestop, EB Games, eBay, etc. Nowhere.

It's a little less than half off in the PlayStation back-to-school sale, but I don't normally go for Zombie games, where I consider TLoU the most overrated gaming series of all time at this point. However, the gameplay and horror elements piqued my interest and a lot of people are saying it looks a lot like the trailer version we were promised at E3 years ago with the updates.

Sony is such a weird company. I just realized they delisted super stardust ultra. A game they literally own the IP for with no licensed stuff in it. They still have the psp version up though. I probably should have just bought it when I had the chance. Hopefully it’s only a temporary delisting.

Speaking of delisted games, I recently picked up a copy of drive club just to see what I missed. Like half the cars and tracks are dlc gone to the ether. This is one of those games that’s really just gone.

Dying Light 2 is awesome. The content they put out is stellar. Their community relations are an industry best.

I've had zero problems playing this since launch.

Started playing Callisto protocol unpatch. Wow. The frame rate is shockingly bad. Below 20 fps if I had to guess. Wait for the patch to install is my only advice.

It’s not even a solid 30 with the patch but it’s at least not headache inducing. On a positive note these are some good graphics. However, it does appear the patch lowers the graphical settings.

Basically a 30% increase on PS+. I'm subbed until the end of 2025 and I think by that point I'll either let my backlog shrink massively or start doing something productive with my life.

30% feels aggressive, I don't play too much online stuff these days. I'll likely try to get through some of the bigger ticket games on plus and then leave it be.

Speaking of plus, here are September's games:

Black Desert's platinum apparently takes 500+ hours, if you really want your value for money.
