Yet again the people here can not admit or see others point of view, 16 let me break it down for you
Guys like gabby player better when they are protected and have a chip on their shoulder.
Say whatever you like but players love enforcers on the team. I am not saying goons just guys willing to get dirty and we don't have them on this roster

If this was 5 years ago, I'd agree with you. Nowadays, not so much.

Good teams don't waste Roster spots on goons.

Dorsett is willing to get dirty, as are other players on this team.

Problem is, Torts cut their nuts off this year.

Hopefully AV preachers team toughness. There's a difference between standing up for each other and being an unskilled good, ala Brashear, Rupp, etc.

oh i believe dorsett can be the second coming of prust for us, but it seems as if this thread was made in spite of sather signing moore and pouliot instead of some goon.

I agree.

Moore is a tough player in his own right too. We should know first hand, we had him for a couple of seasons. He hits, he's fiesty he has a way of getting under opposition's skin. But hes a solid player in his own end. He can play. He will be taking a ton of defensive zone faceoffs under Vigneault.

These moves today were positive moves, IMO.

Johnson is a bit inconsequential, because he will barely play if ever. He's insurance in case of injuries.

im very happy with this offseason so far. johnson seems insignificant though.

More importantly, why would the Rangers do that?

the only thing in there that sucks for the rangers is miller who is still a couple of years away. i dont think vancouver would give away a current roster player who has potential to become a rare type of player in this league. they would be trading a roster player for 2 futures and a guy who had 1 fluke season.

I agree miller is a special prospect. He will be valuable to the Nyr.. I did say not goons needed a guy like Eric nystrom would have been prefect

I, surprisingly, think we're on the same page.

The other guy is out to lunch about trading Miller for Kassian, and more so, packaging him with a pick and Boyle.

Massive overpayment for a guy that hasn't broken 20 points yet.

On another note, I like Nystrom, but i wouldn't want him for the numbers he got.

IMO nystrom wouldve been a repeat of the bad aging grinder UFAs we have signed over the past few years big pass from me

He got overpaid though. This market was so bad overall. 2.5 for 4 years for a guy who has 46 career NHL goals in over 400 games, is crazy.

Let Dorsett play. If Cally and Hags are not able to start the season, see what Kristo has. He's a spunky player.

Wouldn't surprise me at all for Miller to make the team and stick all year. He's much closer to being ready than some here think

Because the Hawks were a big, mean and nasty team.

It's amazing to me that people continue to confuse a lack of forward depth and an extreme collapsing defensive system with some unforgivable lack of toughness. We didn't lose to the Bruins because they were tougher than us. We lost because they played better hockey than we did.

Pretty much. I'd rather have actual hockey players and a working system.

This.

All you people do is complain about how we have Pyatt and Asham, among others, in our bottom six doing nothing except be big and slow, and fight, respectively.

Now we actually sign depth scorers for our bottom six and everyone complains about how soft the team is now.

For ****s sake...

Not many teams have Adam Graves.

Rick Nash was not brought here to hit people, he was brought here to score goals.

I agree with all of these posts.

You have scorers and hitters. Players who do both are very sought after, and very expensive. Go ahead and think for a second what a guy like Cally or Dubi could get on the open market.

Tough and skilled is very difficult to put together and pull off

Hardly, he is 22 and has significant value. You are misinformed.....

So Lapierre signed for 1.1M? I guessed 1.2M, who said 2M?

I'd have to guess at least one of Pyatt/Boyle may be moved.

Kreider - Stepan - Nash
Hagelin - Brass - Callahan
Pouillot - Richards - Zuke
Pyatt/Boyle - Moore - Dorsett.
Mash

Never said he didn't have value, did say that he wasn't worth Miller.

Miller will be a better player than him.

You don't understand how to breed prospects, at all.

Never been a fan of Kassian.

Hodgson will always be the better player, Canucks were crazy to make that trade. Miller is a better prospect than Kassian.

I understand you have to give to get. Kassian is worth more than miller at this point and outside this board you would find that out quickly IMO.

I'll leave the breeding to you.
