Don't all teams have similar turnover rates. Free agency and the cap are more the cause than the whims of a team.

Dom Moore is an underrated pain in the ass to play against. Dorsett and Moore with the subtraction of Zuccarello will make us harder to play against.

Can't wait to insert some young blood like Kreider, Miller, and Kristo full-time to give us a mix of physicality and size.
 
losing zuccarello makes us a softer team since he is the most physically engaging on the forecheck despite his size disadvantage. the team just lost it's balls if he's gone.

Size and skill means top 5 pick. I'd like both, too. It's just that I remember you nitpicked a few days/weeks ago, pointing out players like King (that were a long shot when getting drafted) and saying well we drafted (this skilled bust). It's just that you could do the same the other way, saying well, we drafted Hagelin and after him were 20 no-talent potential grinders that busted.

We pick size, too. It's just that the size guys we pick (McNaught, Wilson, Ceresnak, Pashnin) didn't pan out while some of the skill guys did. At that point in the draft it's basically a crapshoot, so I don't get why you're upset we don't have those guys. It's not like we don't try. We're just better at picking out skilled guys. I mean, look at someone like Nieves. He's big, fast and skilled. If he doesn't pan out as a top 6 scorer, he can still adjust his game to be a hitter and be an NHLer. It's basically what Asham did.

I love big bodies. Especially when they can score. There's nothing I like better in NHL 13 than making a team full of fast huge guys that destroy people. Unfortunately, those players are hard to find.

A bit of exaggeration with Cally and Hags around, no? Love his competitiveness, but if we're going to pushed around less, it starts by adding one of our bigger, younger forwards.
 
Not really a tough SOB but hes a tough player. Callahan?
Dorsett is one tough SOB.
New Signee Falk is a big boy

We should have tried to go after guys liek Richardson and Penner

Tougher does not come in the form of a 5'6'' player who gets shut out of making plays when checking gets tight.

An undervalued regular season performer, but a waste of a forward slot in playoff hockey.

this is a myth as Zuccarello was one of the Rangers top forwards in the playoffs. He outproduced and outplayed guys like Callahan, Nash and Richards. In fact, he was the 2nd leading scorer on the team in the post-season, despite his disadvantage in height.

Zucc didn't draw the same defensive attention as Nash and the Bruins shut down most of the main guys in the playoffs.

Leading a bunch of underperformers isnt impressive.

Neither is just touching the puck to pick up points as opposed to controlling it and making plays.

this isn't true as Zuccarello has some of the top possession numbers on the team and top for forwards. A key reason as to why the Rangers went 9-3-1 when Zuccarello arrived was because the Rangers were constantly outchancing teams while he was on the ice, and it wasn't even close. During that stretch, he was the team's best shot differential player on the ice that elevated the play of his linemates. He was tops in Rangers forwards in CorsiRelQOC, Relative Corsi by the end of the season. That is by definition, an impact player. He's always been a top tier puck possession player since stepping into the league.

Physical doesn't mean tougher either, my two year old will charge me when we play and I just push her over. Reminds me of Zucc on Chara.
