Gotcha. I know the traveling fans always tend to be the 'holligan-y' type. Just feels like the Newcastle ones are always looking like they've been...uh...'through it' a bit more.

Assumed every place has their own, so to speak. Just wasn't sure if a certain area had more of them, haha!

"Its grim up North" as we always say aha. A lot of people from the North have pretty hard lives to begin with... then in Newcastle you have to also deal with 200 days of rain and the hard driving North sea wind aha.

I would say that Manchester and Liverpool have worse reputations violence wise than Newcastle as Northern towns go. Tbh I guess some parts of London are the only places in England that "compete" with Manchester and Liverpool reputation wise across the nation.

People from Newcastle are definitely considered "hard" but in a slightly different way I would say. They are probably regarded as friendlier and more "happy-go-lucky" than say Liverpool and Manchester, Newcastle is a bit of a party town and they are maybe also more "giving" and less suspicious and less "streetwise" than Mancs and Scousers.

Nobody can make life miserable for the other team and everyone watching like Mourinho.

He's the Darth Vader of football.

It's crazy how Sevilla keeps winning the Europa League. This is their competition.

Who did you have? Dybala?
These two cards, which both would have received stat upgrades if Roma won.

Makes no sense to me

I assume he already has more money than he’ll be able to spend and can buy basically anything he wants, so why even bother? Nothing wrong with making money, but I just can’t understand the motivation here.

He's made a lot of money in his career. But not 400M worth, and certainly not in any stretch of his career. Reportedly, he's made 150M in his career to date.

He's going to eclipse that in one year (less than). 400M sets him up for generational wealth, and he's literally won everything there is to win, sans a World Cup. All to...play football at a lower level, in a place he's going to be lavished.

That was my impression of Newcastle when I visited as a yank in 2015. Party town was definitely the vibe I got, I don't think I paid for a pint all day. Any ribbing of opposing fans(Liverpool in this case) was just fun banter. The atmosphere reminded me a lot of Eagles games here in the states. All the locals I talked to were super friendly and welcoming and they didn't treat me like a tourist at all. Made friends there that I keep in touch with and "talk Toon" with to this day. Can't wait to go back.

I’d pay $400m to not need to be in a f***in desert

These guys aren't getting 200M a year to live in a desert, come on now. The deals he and Ronaldo are getting are basically all expenses paid, and he'll be living in a place with every luxury imaginable. The deals they are throwing these guys to get some traction foe the league are incredibly tupid value.

Noone should want to leave Spain or Italy weather to play in the UK either, but it happens all the time.

He’s going to be living in a tent on a sand dune.
