How incredibly naive you are to think that sports cares about your feelings. You exist to provide sports with callous entertainment. That's our purpose in life. All of us. The sooner you embrace this reality the sooner you will feel something that could almost pass for "happiness".
I don’t expect them to care about my feelings, but the level of pain they cause is staring to feel personal.

They feed on our pain. They can afford to allow a few poor souls to taste the sweet fruits of victory because the vast majority are suffering. And the few fleeting moments of sucess make the inevitable years of frustration that much more painful. It's a brilliant survival mechanism when you think about it.

Good for Luton...they're gonna get demolished..but good for them

I want some rich folks to come buy them
There might be a chance of that if the team were anywhere else apart from...

Luton. Jeez.

Have no stadium, no fans, and one of the worst towns in the country.

Oh, and they have a long-term issue with a section of the fans being, well, close to neo-Nazi's. With maybe ~3 instances in the last 18 months where the club has been reported for homophobic chanting or racist comments to opposition players.

The best thing about their promotion?

If Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu stays the summer he will be the first player to play in each of the top five divisions with the same club since like the 1950s! (when some Coventry players did it)

At least he got to see an unlikely title before they were inevitably relegated again, but I feel for my Leicester City mate.

Sounds like Bournemouth did everything but score today. Pickford is an Everton hero tonight.

Would've liked to see Everton go down. They're due.

Championship will be tough next year. Wouldn't surprise me if Leeds and Leicester stay there for a while.

So why was Pulisic boo'd?

Because he had a bad season(who didnt) and is injury prone, despite being an integral part our our 21 CL Victory. Also because chelsea fans are programmed to have short memories due to the Abramovich era.

Pulisic can absolutely be a PL player. He needs to go to an Aston Villa or something to be a starter on a mid table ( the time-sensitive hypocrisy here isn't wasted on me) team though.

Hmm… ok. Just seems weird for him to be singled out.

Thought there might have been something specific that happened.

Funnily enough. I was talking with some friends that Pulisic is a prime candidate for Serie A.
Orrrrrr he can back to Dortmund

PL are fans are fickle like that.

He was booed because we bought him for a lot (relative) and he didn't perform to that (again, relative). For what its worth, he played on a series of shitty, aimless teams. He has the talent to be the mosr decorated US player in Europe -- it he goes to the right team.

That said, Chelsea fans are also are happy to boo a player that every one of our top 6 rivals are salivating over despite him being in our academy since he was 8 and being Chelsea "through and through". So I dont know. I wouldn't read too much in to the in stadium reaction. We're gonna buy half the player Mason Mount is (if were lucky) for double what we sell him for. No, I'm not okay with it. Yes, I cried on his lap of (dis)honor. Come fight me.

At least it seems like y'all will end up getting a good amount for him

@Appleyard help me out here. Is Newcastle the proverbial trailer park of England, or is it just the subsection of traveling support I always see that look like they're from one?

Aha. I like Newcastle in some ways but it does have a... uh... reputation. But there are far more trailer-parky places aha.

But tbf so does Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Sunderland, Burnley etc etc etc.

Almost every town from Birmingham Northwards has a "reputation" and with football, yeh, often it attracts people from the lower classes more than any other segment of society.

Gotcha. I know the traveling fans always tend to be the 'holligan-y' type. Just feels like the Newcastle ones are always looking like they've been...uh...'through it' a bit more.

Assumed every place has their own, so to speak. Just wasn't sure if a certain area had more of them, haha!
