I agree w @Appleyard - if it's a friendly - whatever. Add some sort of time ''gap'' [3yrs or so] and what's so wrong about that?
I’m talking in general, not about any specific example.

My point: If anyone has played for a country in any non-friendly game, they shouldn’t be able to suddenly change countries. Pick whatever country you have a connection to, whether that’s by birth or bloodlines or whatever, but then you’re locked in.

I know it's the Daily Mail, knives come out after someone is fired, etc... - but it's crazy if even half of this is true.

I think that Rog Bennett gets it right in this tweet. Conte expects to win everywhere he goes. Winning at Tottenham was going to be a longer term project (and without any guarantee of eventual glory) than he was comfortable with. This is one (but not the only) appealing thing with Nagelsmann, he's built teams at Hoffenheim and Leipzig. Spurs need to avoid another "win-now" manager, like Conte and Mourinho.

Just saw today that the Ameros picked up Luke Wileman to do play-by-play for the USMNT. He does good work.

With Apple picking up MLS coverage, he probably was looking for something new even though he'll still get his share of MLS games on TSN.

Scotland with a massive (home) upset of Spain.

McTominay with the brace. Second brace in four days.

On a day Norway tied Georgia. Could Scotland actually get out of this group? :amazed:

Truth to be told, I did not open the article (just read the tweet), but complaining about 2k warmup before a match made me go - que!? I cover that in 15mins even when heavily hangover and all the ''red lights on panel'' blinking to stop. For top athletes it should be 10-12mins max at Zone1/Zone2 heart rate. It's not like makes them do 2km worth of intervals or hill work.

We usually do ~1.2-1.5km before floorball games and that seems short-ish.

And yes, I know - it's Daily Mail and probably other details are more brutal, this just raised my eyebrow automatically.

It's Spurs, what do you expect. It's why it's the same for 20 years. 11 players all playing for themselves!

(For clarity, this is 100% a tongue in cheek response)

@Starat327 james to Madrid is making a lot of smoke. I’d see why they want him but Chelsea has to match, right? Hope they did not blow it elsewhere and let him go. Not sure how long his contract has left.

It makes sense that Real want the best RB/RWB in the world, but there is a 0% chance this happens this summer.

He just signed a 6 year deal in September which reportedly doesn't have a release clause. Chelseas new wage structure will see him as their highest paid player (The reason Mount won't sign a new deal is because Chelsea won't offer him the same salary/term as James) on the team moving forward (Only Sterling is higher, I believe). He's largely being touted as the next "long-term" Captain (it'll likely be Silva next year), and hes mentioned multiple times that that is a career goal of his. The dude is Chelsea Football Club.

Real were rumored to want him last summer too, and he still didn't go, and instead signed a new deal.

Now, on the chance that at this time next year we are in a similar spot as we are now (no real prospect if CL football the following year), I could see him asking for a move, but even then, I wouldn't put it as "likely to happen".

Thanks for the insight. Yeah doubt he is leaving after just signing that contract. James just needs to stay healthy and as you said, can move into s leadership role. Chelsea is definitely going to need stability from within after all the turnover.

Trippier > James :sarcasm:
I am assuming you are talking about free kicks 😀

It feels like they are finally understanding that they cant rush him back. The plus side of being mid table is they dont really have a reason to bring him back for games that "dont matter". The flip side of that is that they will definitely want him against Real. We dont stand a chance if James isnt in for those games to "shut down" Vini.

Great point. Vini is such a good player. At this point screw the table and go all in on CL

Missing out on Mudryk was a blessing in disguise. Has he even scored a goal for Chelsea yet?
Don’t even know. It’s kinda changing my opinion on throwing a bunch of money at Bellingham though. I trust whatever Arteta and Edu decide to do.

Watching Madrid..... good luck bro

Like I said - not thinking well beat them but if we do, Only people judging us on league form would be surprised. We've played Madrid the last two years. Was very close to coming from behind to beat them last year and we know what happened the year prior.

A healthy James neutralizes Vini, Silva with Kante neutralizes Benzema. Their right may give our left some trouble, but that'll be free flowing: Mudryk terrorized that side in group stages.

It'll 100% come down to how badly Potter wants to screw it up.
