Like I said - not thinking well beat them but if we do, Only people judging us on league form would be surprised. We've played Madrid the last two years. Was very close to coming from behind to beat them last year and we know what happened the year prior.

A healthy James neutralizes Vini, Silva with Kante neutralizes Benzema. Their right may give our left some trouble, but that'll be free flowing: Mudryk terrorized that side in group stages.

It'll 100% come down to how badly Potter
Chelsea is such an enigma right now. I’ve watched them be a total disaster and then dominate a match. Who knows.... I could see them. advance or get thrashed. Madrid is obviously a tough draw. Bueno suerta
wants to screw it up.

This was literally yesterday after the game.

I have a huge amount of respect for Potter. I think he's a tremendous coach for a team who can afford to have the patience to allow his slow implementation. Unfortunately, that isn't Chelsea. I was on board with keeping him despite results if we showed progress as a team, but the play hasn't been there. There's entirely too much attacking talent on this team to be laying and not scoring. He's a more pragmatic Southgate.

Any front runners or are they going to ride out the season and wait till the summer?

Rumored to be trying to get Nagelsmann, but he wants to wait until summer/have time off before coming over. Cant say i blame him. Theres a weird dynamic there too, becauise Bayern have reportedly said they wont 'release him' from his contract and will demand compensation, but they want Anthony Barry (assistant coach) from us -- so i can see that turning into a bit of a tog-of-war, p otentially.

Outside of that, the current short list reportedly includes Luis Enrique, Pochettino (no thank you), Ruben Amorim and the guy from....frankfurt, i think it is?

Id say its likely to be Nagelsmann, but i'm not sure thats the right call, personally.

I’m assuming Barry is Tuchel’s guy? Definitely see it getting messy if they go that route.

Enrique is intriguing considering all the new players brought in.

Either way hopefully they get some stability and don’t turn into the shit show United was

Nope. Barry got his start at Chelsea a few years back under Lampard as a set piece manager but is very highly rated in the world given his limited time in management/coaching. It's going to suck to lose him.

Enrique is probably my choice but I really haven't done a dive on his true style of play. Nagelsmanns preferred 3-5-2 at RB would play well with our current roster. I haven't watched a ton of Bayern but I have seen him play a 3 1 4 2 as well, which would seemingly work well as well (if we sign another kante backup/replacement). I only question his ability to motivate and hold accountable.

To your point, Chelsea need someone to get it stable and that can demand and get players respect. I'm not sure - based on what I've read - thats his speciality.

Beating Madrid with him as your manager would be hilarious

As odd as it sounds, I trust him to do it more than I would have Potter. Lamps isn't a great manager bt any stretch, but he was at least alwaya willing to go forward. If we want a chance against Madrid, we're gonn have to be on the front foot and he'll do that. Potter would bench Mudryk and play Cucarella at LW.
