Any coaching history? Yes. Good coaching history? No. Coached Monaco and Montreal and did nothing special.
I saw Viera's name linked as well.
With all of the information coming out about the Reyna situation and "clearance" of GGG I wouldn't be surprised to see him rehired and I personally wouldn't have a problem with it. I think both the overall talent level and desirability of the USMNT job is overrated so you're not going to get a "name" manager.
Martinez ! Now that is the coaching tree we need!I think he coached the Montreal MLS team for a bit. Then was under Martinez for Belgium, i believe.

Thanks. I kind of remembered stints but nothing stood out. Doesn’t seem like the kind of pedigree the team needs but agree with the overrated part. Do like some of the younger players though.Any coaching history? Yes. Good coaching history? No. Coached Monaco and Montreal and did nothing special.

Haaland had another hatty today.
His goal scoring rate is unparalleled. Being far to Ole, he was used as a substitute but your point still stands.Just realised this too...
Compatriot Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored 203 goals at a "professional" level over career (pro club+international+international u21/20) in 13 years.
Haaland has scored 209 goals at the same level... by age 22.

If Haaland ever wants to play a big tournament, he should try to stay fit for important qualifiying games though. Without him there's only Odegaard.
They're ok, but going to Georgia without Haaland could be tricky. Then there's also Scotland in that group. Norway should be the 2nd best team in that group though.I think that is a bit unfair on Norway!
Though they are also missing Ajer and King through injury which sucks for them.
But still, their midfield especially is pretty good.
Sander Berge is fantastic. Should be at a top Prem team.
And Mohamed Elyounoussi, Morten Thorsby, Fredrik Aursnes and Kristian Thorstvedt are all Premier League level players too.
Sørloth can also do a good job up front even with them missing Haaland and King. Likely going to hit ~15 in La Liga this year.
Their defense is really young but with Ajer, Østigård, Holmgren Pedersen and Julian Ryerson in a few years if they keep developing that should be an excellent back-line... with Odegaard and Berge holding the midfield and Haaland up-front.
In the u-21s they have some talent too... Oscar Bobb is pretty much Man Citys best u-20 player... plays like Messi! Will be joining Haaland soon in senior team

I like Berge, but I don't see him on a top team in the Premier League. Not as a starter anyway. He has all the tools to be a dominating force, but he's just so inconsistent. When he's on, he's really good though. Maybe his game is more suited for the Premier League.
But right now I don't even think he's the best player on Sheffield United, tbh. I'd take Ndiaye, Ahmedhodzic, McAtee, and maybe even Doyle over him.
Even over Iliman? He looks like a future star player. Best player in the entire league if you ask me. His game against Blackburn in the FA Cup was outstanding.Yeh, should be... but they have had a habit of f***ing up since their 90s golden generation retired. So many good Norwegians not played at World Cups as a result.
I think Berge's problem is that he gets injured so often... it is a rinse and repeat. Builds into great form... injured... then comes back and takes a few games to get back into it... and then injured again. When has been fully healthy his half season runs in Prem already were damn good. I would take him over all of them. Just very classy and controls games.
Thanks for the post. You always bring the knowledgeYeh, the only guy post-war to score like he has or better from the start of their career at the top level is Eusabio.
Eusebio: 177 in 157 after season turned 23 in. (1965)
Muller was great from the start too... but as of the end of 1968-69? 184 in 213
Annnd both of them accelerated their scoring rate.
Eusebio was at his best between 24 and 31.
Muller was at his best between 26 and 31.
Also, the two greatest (cumulative) scorers of all time in Ronaldo and Messi?
Ronaldo scored most between age 24 and 33.
Messi scored most between age 23 and 32.
Most career arcs for goal-scorers in football are similar... and indicate that Haaland will probably get even better in next 1-2 years, then score at a stable-ish rate for ~6-8 years.
He is so good though. My favorite player outside of United. I absolutely love him. What a player. He has it all! Completely dominates the midfield and can score. Pure class! If Haaland ever wants to play a big tournament, he should try to stay fit for important qualifiying games though. Without him there's only Odegaard.
Yeah, he's one of my favorite players right now too. He's added another dimension to his game this year, has become a world class midfielder. So good on the ball, just a joy to watch. You immediately notice when he's not on the pitch. I think he even has a case for player of the year.He is so good though. My favorite player outside of United. I absolutely love him. What a player.
