Confirmation from Lowry: The Jets feel fat and comfortable with themselves, but they're not that good. Or not that ****ing good, to be accurate.

There’s some absolute gold in those post game comments.

Wheeler: “We gave up”. At least he’s honest. Not very bright, mind you.

Maurice: “We’ll fix it tomorrow”. Just add it to the honey-do list, hey PoMo? Not like it hasn’t needed fixing for close to a month.

Maurice seemed mad when he found out someone said they quit

Trade deadline cannot come soon enough. One way or another, a clear statement has to be made. Maybe Chevy can join in with Maurice in stripping the varnish off the lockers with an angry tirade? Hell, at this point I'd settle for Dancing Gabe dropping some F-bombs.

This game was a stinker, head to toe. Team still has the pieces, team still has the potential. As the saying goes, when you're on your back in the gutter, at least you know which way is up. And I still think this team has what it takes to get it together in the next eight weeks. Lord only knows what some fresh blood would do.

Soooooooo still want to debate the Statue? Its a sign man, Im telling you. This year Im 11 for 13 on Statue games....

Hopefully that's the rock-bottom that the special teams need.

Also, you're all the worst.

Dorian is probably rubbing his hands together gleefully thinking he has Chevy over the ropes right now. Stanley Cup contender (supposedly) looking to capitalize on their opportunity before the rude awakening of the salary cap comes to bear next season. Dorian may yet get a King's ransom for Stone and/or Duschene and Chevy may be the buyer.

Won’t happen. This won’t influence Chevy whatsoever.

Well, you said that you brought up the statue from the first game he played, but

A. your post history for "statue" only goes back to mid-November,
B. the first post has a "does anyone else notice [X]" which strongly suggests "first time I'm bringing it up"
C. If you really did bring it up from the first game he played, he only let in 1 goal against on that game (November 27th 2015, at Minnesota) AND 1 goal against in his next two games (December 2nd 2015 vs Toronto, December 5th 2015 vs Washington) so even if I'm off in that post history, he was stellar at the first game he played

So if C is true, the observation was a bust from the first time you made it; if A and B are true, there's been no correlation as "the statue" appearances have coincided with the half of the season where he's been at the top of his game.

That could have gone better.

Since our PP is somewhat broken, we only have one scoring line and some secondary scoring at times. And our one line is not even a league-average first line. There seems to be no visible path to success with this lineup. We need to be better 5v5 by a lot. Need a complete overhaul before the playoffs.

Somewhere nice
Remember when Noel got mad at the Jets.
As a Tampa Bay Lightning fan, nothing disappoints me more than the see your team doing what your guys are doing now. That game we had a month or two ago was the best game that I've seen in a long time. And I was hoping to see you guys in the finals.

And we still will see each other then.
Jets still in 1st place already having 1 bad month.
They will work it out.
Just hope the coach figure it out soon... :)
Players arw not responding.

Just like I /am/ studying for that exam tomorrow! I swear!

This team is not winning a f***ing thing in April without a complete change in systems. This 'slump' is closing in on 30 games now.

I've said three factual statements and my overall point (your references to "Helle's statue" occur almost exclusively during some of the best hockey of his career) is correct. Dunno what you're looking for me to admit to. At the end of the day it's just a goofy mannerism anyways.

Man, i feel like the Jets had one good month and the rest of the west is absolute ass or mediocre, thus they're #1. Can't see them holding the spot if this goes on. Changes please.

Buff while back was atrocious and very rusty.
When Buff was healthy he was one of our best players . He missed 6 weeks and was rusty when he came back but that wasn't 100% Buff , a healthy Buff will help this team in alot of areas . :thumbu:

Man Maurice was pissed which he should be but when Munz said Wheeler said they quit , i really don't think Maurice expected that hence why Maurice bolted from the presser . I don't put all the blame on Maurice but he's the head coach so he has to be somewhat to blame . If this doesn't get him to split up Scheif and Wheeler nothing will . He just has to see how good the Avalanche looked and they broke up the best line in hockey . If Maurice doesn't break up Scheif and Wheeler it's gonna be the hill he dies on .

That is the first time in a very long time i could say no one , absolutely no one , had a decent game . Normal energy guys like Tanev and Frenchie even looked bad out there . Speaking of Frenchie , when's the last time he stood out in a game ? He's a guy that has to produce way more to me , he's a veteran on a young team making decent coin , need more from him .

Here's a thought: the guy can arguably create more offense than anyone on the team for his linemates.

Maybe, just a little maybe, there would be a better fit for him than these two guys.

Like... maybe one of these guys?
