I’ll come to their defense tonight. (For the first time in a long time)
I think they played a very good game and the effort was there from most players. They should have won.
It looks like the message to shoot the puck finally got through and it would have been nice if they had been rewarded for that.
However, a combination of stone cold shooters and bad luck was too much to overcome in this game.
It’s too bad, because Fleury was ripe for the picking today.

We have squandered our lead now and our schedule sucks. I don’t like Calgary, I don’t like Nashville, and the Jets are shlepping. Hopefully they both out suck us.

Tonight was a good effort. Almost 50 shots. You can't fault the effort so you gotta look elsewhere. This 2nd half of the season collapse isn't new, it's happened before. Why? It happened under Maurice it happened last year, why? Unless you are in that room, don't think we will ever know. To me, there's got to be some personality clashes in the room and I feel 55 and 26 and maybe 37 (he does sound borderline arrogant at times) could be the reason
