Hockey Canada will not cancel this. This tournament is about money, power and patriotism the hell with the players well being. No way in hell this will happen.
I have a message for H.C your gold medal will be tainted...Do the right thing for once and cancel the tournament.

Personally I'd rather have a clown show pathetic asterisk tournament than no hockey at all. The pandemic isn't going anywhere and things won't be "perfect" for a long while. So what? Take it for what it is and get some hockey and joy out of life in the mean time.

these guys, even asymptomatic, could be threatened by direct or side effect of covid on heart muscle f.e.we dont know anything about it yet. I know that if my son got a covid I personally would prohibit him from any excess physical activity. Health comes always first.

It doesn't help that this thing has become hyper-politicized for some reason, most of that rightfully focusing on the idiot COVID-denying, refusal to wear a mask, anti-vax fools, but now it's starting to swing the other way too with the other side supporting overly draconian COVID measures in lieu of the actual threat as a sort of "believe in the science" badge of honor.

Will these players really be ”safer” at home? This disease is not an issue whatsoever for a healthy vaccinated 18 year old. Playing hockey is far, far more dangerous, maybe that’s what you meant?
