A proven coach of this calibre falls into our lap and mgmt not even bothering to explore the possibility.
It’s batsh*t crazy.

Winnipeg is interviewing him. He’s from Winnipeg and I think his family still lives there. The Jets are a team in turmoil and need to right the ship. The dream is dead. Trotz will be hired by Vegas.
That would be interesting. The Jets forwards couldn't be more disinterested in playing 200 foot hockey.Winnipeg is interviewing him. He’s from Winnipeg and I think his family still lives there. The Jets are a team in turmoil and need to right the ship.
I think major changes are coming to that organization. The core has been there a while will little results. That would be interesting. The Jets forwards couldn't be more disinterested in playing 200 foot hockey.
Keefe is a future legend. Clog up the middle of the ice in the biggest.gsmes and he has o answers. PP goes to shyte too. But a future legendA proven coach of this calibre falls into our lap and mgmt not even bothering to explore the possibility.

Good I hope soSomehow, I think he is waiting for MLSE to give an offer he can’t refuse. Lol
They’re holding an emergency meeting this afternoon to come up with the company line for that one.Trotz is a coaching upgrade, and the people who will disagree are the same ones saying Lou deserved no credit because he had the “best coach in the game”. Square that one.
We should have went after Bruce Cassidy
Good I hope so
This reads like a development league discussion…isn’t that part of the problem. Who hires a coach that needs to grow? Just wasting away years while Dubas, Keefe, everyone figures it out. Crazy.No. I like Trotz, and think he’s a great coach, but I also think we have a great coach in the making, and he needs time to grow. This year was better than the last. He’s growing in his role like players do.
Naaa, I think the breakthrough is pretty close. He was a great coach in the AHL, and he continues to get better at the NHL level. We’re a bogus 5-on-3 in game 6 from going on a run, against a team that won back-to-back cups, and is in game 6 for another. It’s not like we pulled this guy outta the York-Simcoe Express program. He’s a damn good coach. This reads like a development league discussion…isn’t that part of the problem. Who hires a coach that needs to grow? The Avs are about to win a cup built in much the same mould we are..Trotz would definitely be an upgrade but I don’t think this team built for him as a coach. His teams hit, play heavy and always defence first. It’s generally the style that wins and Dubas maybe has to adapt a little more yet. The 2 teams in this year‘s finals are faster offensive teams I suppose though but its not the norm. Tampa can play shut down but I haven’t seen the Avs ability to play it. I enjoy watching open ice, high scoring games but I’d rather see a cup.

I don’t think Keefe is a bad coach that deserves to be fired. Also I’m very glad the Avs are where they are and showing that fun hockey can win. Maybe it will change the way teams play hockey somewhat, idk. Trotz is a great coach though and would definitely make me look at all my options if I was Dubas.Naaa, I think the breakthrough is pretty close.
