Buch was already playing in a mens league for 3 years before stepping into the NHL at 21. Laf was literally 18 and came from Juniors. Give the kid a break for not meeting your expectations after 90 games.

I would be thrilled if he was as good as Buchnevich was around same age, but he isn't. And even if he was, look how little we got back for Buchnevich.

What has Power to do with my comments lol, I said worst start of a career for forward since Murphy in 1986, that's not an opinion, that's a fact. He has the lowest PPG among forward in his first 90+ game since Murphy.

There is no argument for Lafreniere meeting expectations, guy is pacing for under 25 points in his D+2.

Then why did you say you would be thrilled with him if he was as good as Buch at 21? So if he is as good as Buch at 21 he is a bust or you would be thrilled? Make up your mind.

I think more players like Powell should stay and develop, Laf is a prime example, RNH, Dahlin etc aswell

Unfortunately him staying and playing in Juniors wouldn't have done anything for him since he already dominated it.

Yeah and he looks terrible. He needs to be demoted to the AHL because the rangers are killing his development, leaving him on the third line and struggling. Let him be a star in the A and build his confidence back.

The Rangers aren't trading the first and only first overall draft pick the franchise has had in the modern era after 90 covid ravaged games and at 20 years old. Give me a break.

It literally would only happen if McDavid or MacKinnon or Matthews was coming the other way, which of course would never happen. Just saying how unlikely it is for him to be traded.

He certainly wouldn't be traded for JT Miller or some other player of that level.
