Toronto needs a guy like him! Big strong top line LW. LW is the Leafs weakest position!

Toronto hasn't had a power forward since Gary Roberts and Owen Nolan
Someone who can score, clear out some space and keep everyone in check

I don't care of his off ice issues. We only need him for the playoffs. If he's problemetic, waive him
We are not tied to any 7 million dollar contract or long tern contract. He's not going get a NMC or NTC

We should be all over this. At 1 million just for playoff run he'll do more for us Ritchie and Clifford has done entire year

Are we supposed to believe 20+ teams wanted Kane and he chose Edmonton?
Exactly. The only way he signs there is if he gets no other offers. You would have to think if Dubas offered him a contract, he would be all over it! World-class city like Toronto, and the biggest hockey market in the world…

I could not agree more! Dubas better make this happen.

While I partly agree MLSE isn't going to partner up with someone like him.

Then MLSE is going to be keep getting what they have been getting

If Tampa gets him, we have no chance of beating Tampa. We can't beat them now in a 7 game series
If Florida gets him, just seat our pretty boys. Bennett, Reinhart, Gudas, Weager, Marchment, Kane, Tippet, are going to have a field day running over our team
They already play a very heavy game with a lots of hitting

Toronto does not need this jerk, untrustworthy, selfish, accused gambler, two faced over the hill once was potentially a player. Ask the other teams that walked away from this guy.
Where there is smoke there is fire.
In this case where there is fire there is fire.

I am torn.

If the guy can keep his head out of his butt for 5 months, he would be a fantastic addition.

If he turns out to be the guy we have read about for 2 years…well, yeah, if it is that easy, waive him and get him out of town.

Feels like we wouldn’t know until we tried, and I would hate to see him end up in some place like Edmonton and turn out to be a fantastic find for them, when we could have signed him.

Tough call.

The Leafs need players like him, but they are far too fragile and couldn’t deal with him. I think one of the Eastern contenders, or a team like Boston should take a flyer on him.

Please, that's ridiculous... if you don't know, can't help you. There have been plenty. But carry on with the schtick.

Wow that's all you got" if you don't know cant help you". There have been plenty lolololol

Note to self NEVER reply to the hound dog.

MLSE is never going to associate themselves with : Holland leaves lots to be desired surrounding Oilers' pursuit of Evander Kane

Kane’s indiscretions have hurt others — mostly women — and not just himself. And he’s made them over and over again.
The subject of multiple court complaints surrounding the physical mistreatment of women, Kane has not been found guilty by the courts in these matters. He did fake a vaccine card while with the San Jose Sharks only this season however, and earned a reputation in Winnipeg of high roller who refused to tip when comped, or would simply walk out on tabs.
Was it industry hearsay? OK, then why always Kane, and not Mark Scheifele or Dustin Byfuglien?
Why did the Jets dressing room reject Kane? Then the Sabres? Then the Sharks?
A forged vaccine card is the 2022 tell-all sign of what kind of person he truly is. Team rules are for everyone else, but not for Kane.

Over the hill? He had his best season last year. Was on pace for 71 pts.

The rest is valid

If any of our players are worried about getting run over by Reinhart and Tippett they should switch to professional golf.

Playing with all that debt and what others would call "presha"... its pretty awwsome and strong. Some would say.... real gangsta. But I wouldn't go there mi'self.

That's like being the biggest OG of all gangstas...................................... The man brings trouble. But he also makes trouble to others on the ice. Its' a real spectacle really. Some don't dare to touch him... others do. Lets see what happens and whom will be the Lion.

If he went to the Leafs the other players would hate him and he would play very soft. Look at his past. He always turns soft. Leafs cannot coach or use aggression. Ritchie, Holl, Clifford, Simmons...nothing from them.

A huge no!

He has way too many off ice issues, most stem from whatever he's using as a brain. He will not change.

Toronto doesn't have a problem scoring, so even if Kane wasn't a frikken head case, I would still say the Leafs don't need him.

Want? Sure but not with the baggage he brings.

Toronto need to upgrade their D corps. Maybe a backup goalie if there's one out there.

Kane.... hell no!

Dubas and the leafs are massive PC woke org... lol no way they do this... They are the opposite of the Black Hawks, who did anything to win.

Humm I guess I wish we were somewhere in the middle... want to win and push to get players that will let us will but held people accountable when they act out.

The Leafs hired Keefe.

Dubas also hired Keefe when the OHL was against it.

The Soo’s hiring of twentysomething whiz kid Kyle Dubas as GM last year was the product of unconventional thinking. Dubas’s firing of Mike Stapleton and hiring of Keefe weren’t out of the box so much as in your face. It shocked and angered.

“People in the league office hit the roof on this one,” says an OHL executive. “Dubas is making a lot of enemies of people who worry about our image.”

Dubas does not fear overstatement in defending his choice. “Sheldon has been the best coach not working in this league for a couple of years now,” he says. “No one can deny the job he did in Pembroke.” - Sportsnet

I like how everyone seems to forget that even if Dubas and the Leafs wanted to sign Kane, the reality is it will be up to him.

If I am Kane I am choosing TB or Fla and not because I think Toronto is some woke organization that will never win.

If I want to fly under the radar and try and salvage my career, I am glstaying away from Toronto and the non stop media attention and the scrutiny of a rabid fanbase

Does he want to fly under the radar though? If he has perfect behaviour here it will be on the front page everyday. If he has perfect behavior in Florida, nobody would know.
