Would I make him a healthy scratch? Probably. In reality though, are the Rangers going to make him a healthy scratch? No way.
He makes terrible decisions all the time. How is that not IQ related?
Because his body can't keep up with what his mind tells it to do.
i think ppl are giving Richards WAY too much "credit" here. just like they did with Drury.
he's been pretty crappy for the vast majority of the season. in the playoffs i can count the number of positive impactful games hes had on one hand...for the most part, he does nothing out there positive. not defensively, not offensively, not on the PP, he doesnt PK, NOTHING.
Hes done.

The only time I've ever been impressed with Brad was the first shift of his first preseason game vs Jersey.
He has not demonstrated any skillset as a New York Ranger. His go to move is to put his head down and fire shots aimlessly. People get on him for not orchestrating our PP and yes it would be nice if he was capable of that. But even worse is how lackadaisical he is in trying to defend on the PP. Disgraceful. Its so painful to hear the novice hockey fan talk about him as a star player on our team. He's our most dispensable player among all 12 forwards and 6 D.
Give the man some credit. He practically won the caps series in 2012 himself.
so if M.Richards is bought out too is it nuts to sign him on the cheap to replace Bead?

M. Richards is just as shot as B. Richards. Difference is Mike is on the 4th line in LA while Brad is a top 6 center and PP QB here.
Yup. His role is too pronounced to not notice that he is completely done as a player.
At least Mike Richards has an excuse - hes been a rugged player his entire career.
Whats Brad's excuse? He was never a speedster, but I was convinced his playmaking ability would prolong his career.
Nope.
I hope Richards scores 4 goals tonight and carries the team to a win.
Excited to see his last game in a Rangers jersey.
Another thing to consider is that is he’s injured, they won’t be able to amnesty him
