McLellan called out Marleau for not shooting the puck either. Am I forgetting something? I don't remember Marleau having a 2-on-1 (or if he did, it still lead to a decent shot).

I remember it. He tried to pass to Havlat, which was a ****ing stupid idea. But it wasn't as egregious as Thornton's massive ****-up. And Marleau had a good game all-around and created a lot more chances, so I'm less pissed off about that one than Joe's.

I thought Marleau had a good game too which is why I was surprised McLellan called him out (when he usually doesn't outright call anyone out).

Clearly, he's lost the room. :sarcasm:

But seriously, that is concerning. You don't call out the best skater you had on the ice, especially when you never call out players by name. I don't know why this strikes me as different, but it's really odd.

I thought the forwards as a whole played pretty well. If I had to rank them i'd go

Marleau
Couture
Clowe
Thornton
Sheppard
Gali
Handzus
Gomez
Pavelski
Havlat
Burish
Kennedy

Thats just from watching the game.

Hes also been way more frank and less complimentary of the team as well. Hes probably fed up with losing and not scoring but some of that blame is on him for his stubborness. I truly think..barring a miracle that TMac is finished after this year.

I missed the 2 on 1 that Thornton crapped the bed on, can someone post the video if possible?

Looking for it, can't find it. Just imagine the worst way to **** up a 2-on-1 possible, that's what Joe did. He skated in at a snail's pace, same with Havlat despite the fact that Havlat was strangely way behind the play, then Joe just stood there for a while while Lashoff went to the ground, then Joe passed it into Lashoff's stick and it bounced harmlessly to the corner.

He should have just ripped a slapper. Gustaffson has weak glove and was cheating on his angles all night. Oh Joe.

Marleau is the last Shark you can rip on right now. But no, you definitely don't have an agenda.

Well because calling out Thornton is pretty much begging to be killed by DW and ownership and the fanbase and Obama. I'm sure Thornton feels like an idiot for that 2-1 but like the great player he is he'll redeem himself next game.

If he and Patty shoot on those 2 on 1's..judging on how Jonas looked..the Sharks at least score on one of them.

Theres nothing he can do to redeem himself for that **** up. He can have multiple no look, between the legs, one handed assists the next game and it still wont make up for it. What he did was simply inexcusable. Im pretty sure Douglas Murray could have done something better on that 2 on 1.

We would still be waiting for him to get the shot off.

Yeah right. If he did that you'd be so hype your eyeballs would explode from hype. Don't even bro. Don't even.

I love how everyone has their favorite player to hate and everyone's working so hard to make a case to trade that player or to prove he's worthless with made up facts...

If only the team worked as hard!

Went to sleep right before the shootout.

Well deserved loss. They looked better than a few games back but the underlying issues are still the same:

- cannot score more than 2 goals in a game
- keep turning the puck over

Both the coach and players have just **** the bed.

I sincerely feel bad for Nemo. I bet he has the most losses giving up no goals or just 1 goal this year.

Quick was in a similar situation last year. Too bad Nemo has close to 0% chance of getting the same redemption Quick did.
